What a fantastic meal we had. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everything we had tasted fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the Volcano Don, Crispy Tonkatsu Don, and the side Pork Curry. The Crispy Tonkatsu Don was so juicy and packed a punch of flavor. The Pork Curry was the best I ever had. The Volcano Don is off the chain good. There is only one thing I did not like. And that was the service. There is none. No one to greet you. No one to explain the menu. Or recommend what to add to your poke bowl.

This place is located right next to an overpass, making it easy to miss it and hard to find street parking. I don’t think the lot next to the building is theirs so I had to park on the street behind the restaurant.

The poke bowls are a given. Fresh and tasty, great portions. However, what put it over the top was their karaage chicken. The chicken was very juicy and flavorful. The batter was perfect. And I loved their dipping sauce that came with it. I couldn’t stop raving about it to my friends.

Holy cow the chirashi was some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. Sushi rice was magically delicious. Fish was super fresh and perfect temp. Portion was super American size; more than even I could finish. Convenient parking.

I had the salmon poke bowl with the spicy/sweet sauce and didn’t love it. I felt the sauce overpowered the fish. I also missed all the topping options you can get at true poke spots (avocado, green onions, dried garlic, etc). I haven’t tried anything else, but if you’re looking for poke, I’d go somewhere like FOB instead.
