Overall the is okay. Nothing incredibly impressive such as broasted chicken. The service though is quite great! They are super friendly and quick to get your order. Also tried their boba while I was here and its a little watered down.

First of all, the food here is actually good! For my first time, I was a bit confused on what to order. I got the 12 meal and large fries and side. The fries are good and the bread is good as well. Here are some prices so you can get an idea. The chicken and tender are both good and taste fresh! Paid about $38 to feed 4 people.

I came across this place by a stroke of Good Fortune doing a Google search for fried chicken on my way back from USC. You can smell the chicken in the parking lot and my gosh it smelled so good there were people standing outside waiting people inside waiting everybody talking about how great the chicken was how much they love the place and how the one guy said he lives the hour and a half away and he still comes there to get the Fried Chicken so I knew it was going to be great and was not disappointed. It is a bit on the expensive side as it is more expensive than KFC and Popeyes but I’ll tell you what it was definitely worth it it’s very very good fried chicken. The only thing I can say is that the potato salad was very sweet so not really my favorite. They have the big steak fries and if you don’t eat them right when you get them they do get kind of soggy so if you’re going to drive a distance be prepared to throw them in the oven or put them in a skillet with a little bit of oil to crisp them up. The biscuits are huge and everybody was ranting and raving about them I honestly didn’t have any room to eat one because the chicken was so good I filled up on the chicken but don’t worry I’m going to get on those biscuits here in a little bit LOL they smell amazing and they look even better than that. This place is definitely going to become a regular stop every time I have to go to USC for my doctor appointments. I got the combo with the chicken strips and the fried chicken it came with french fries one side dish and four biscuits and I’m telling you the biscuits are big enough for two people to share one they’re huge. It’s an extremely large portion of fries definitely enough for four people or more. The side dish is probably enough for two people to share if they want a decent serving so if it’s four people you may want to add one side in addition to what’s there unless everybody just wants to fill up on the french fries. I did give a four-star for atmosphere because there really is no atmosphere you just walk in and it’s a giant kitchen with everybody making the bomb Fried Chicken so there’s no fancy decorations or anything it’s just a chicken making factory LOL delicious.

I used to love Donahoo’s, as their succulent and tasty chicken was truly a finger-licking experience. It was a hidden gem, a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant I loved to recommend. Unfortunately, those days are gone – the quality has noticeably plummeted.

4.5 stars bc no place to eat and lack of parking. That said. It is what it is. Good food to go. So good that I will sit in my car in the parking lot and get my grub on. I’m 60 years old and I grew up in Pomona (although I don’t live there now) and this place was a fixture in my childhood. It’s changed hands over the last fifty years but the food has ALMOST always remained the same in both taste and quality. I try to come here whenever I come to Pomona to visit family.

Some great chicken tenders and gizzerds w a fresh roll . No frills, no indoor dining, just get your chicken and enjoy in your car if you like it hot. I never had gotten an unfresh or cold meal, but the only times I come are during noon time. 1 observation is that they are stingy with sause and ketchup. ♂️

This is a very unassuming place. Was not sure what to expect when I drove by and saw the name Donahoo. There was a short line out the door and everyone ahead of me got the chicken strip meal so I did the same. Ordered the 3 chicken strip meal which came with fries, 2 rolls, and your choice for a side, I went with mashed potatoes. The chicken strips were white meat and very moist. The chicken itself had plenty of flavor and the breading to it. The fries were fresh and crispy, and they give you a generous portion. The rolls were not bad, they were a tad dry in my opinion. The mashed potatoes were pretty good but nothing special. They also offer boba if that is something you wanted. All in all, I was happy with my experience.

This is a To-Go place, so no ambiance. The crispy chicken strips are terrific and the steak fries are delicious! My son loved all of the other side, the rolls are very unique, dense but yummy. He ordered the dark meat 3 piece, it’s one of our favorite new places for fried chicken!
