Came in for a quick dinner. Place was PACKED.. Got a single seat immediately and was served very fast. Chips and drinks in 2 seconds. Very fast service. Kicked up salsa with some nice hot sauce. Went with the steak and shrimp YUM Great service nice food!

Food here just seems fresher and more homemade than other Mexican places. It’s a little tight in there and DARK but service is typically good, fast and food is excellent. NOTE -prices here are higher than other Mexican places so sadly, that makes it very hard financially to eat here as much as I’d like. Plan to spend $20 per person.

10-11-2021.. I just spent $15.00 on chicken fajitas that I couldn’t even eat, it was gross . The tortillas were so nasty and soggy that I had to throw it away, the rice and chicken were bland. I’ve never seen tortillas that even looked like these, they even smelled funny ♀️.. I will NEVER be back there!!

I’m not sure if they’ve hired a new person to cook or what the deal is…but I’m shocked at how many positive reviews this place has. I’ve ate at numerous American-Mexican restaurants thru the years & this place…by far is one of the worst! Almost $30 is in the trash right now. Beans, rice, beef, chicken…all so bland & overcooked nothing would help it. I tried white cheese, salt, & garlic powder, nothing helped how bad it all tasted. So disappointing. Food has to be pretty rough for me to throw it away. It deserved to be thrown away. I couldn’t serve that to customers…I’d be too embarrassed. Both of the entrees ordered were also soaking in water (I’m assuming from not draining the lettuce). My food was surrounded by water. Who serves food like this?? Save your time & your money!

Tamales, Tamales, Tamales!!! This place is a tiny, almost hidden gem tucked in between a liquor store and a clothing shop but oh boy you won’t regret seeking ot out. In a town with so many Mexican food options, each has to carve out a niche to set them apart from the others and Don Sol is THE PLACE for the best Tamales in town! Their other food options are excellent but basically on par with the others. Another standard of excellence is chip quality…Don Sol has fresh, sturdy chips and delicious guacamole/queso.
