The service here was great and the owner was kind. He threw in some free shots at the end of the experience . My gripe comes from the food as it wasn’t as authentic as I had hoped. The Queso Fundido was basically a Mexican pizza, there was shredded cheese on it which wasn’t supposed to be the case. It should have been more of a dip style from my experience.

Service was phenomenal! Our waitress was attentive!! Food was out quick and was hot and delicious!!! THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN THIS AREA. I have been in some other’s restaurants in the area and Don Patron it was by far beyond my expectations!

This was hard to rate. The food is a solid 5. It was wonderful! Hubby had the patron burrito. It was a good size and tasty. He also had the taquito bites these were tasty and crisp with a beautiful presentation. I had the patron enchilada so I got to try 3 sauces. Both the red and green sauces were exactly what abuela served. As was the rice. The Mole was a bit sweeter than abuela served but delicious! You need to smell this! The aroma will have your mouth watering. You’ll just want to savour that smell for a few. Let me point out, because I see comments saying this is different and such because something is different than you’re use to doesn’t mean it’s wrong just different. Just try finding the “right” way to make arroz con pollo. Why not a5? They weren’t busy. Im not sure who our server was. I think at least 4 people came to our table. Maybe more .We got the taquito bites AFTER the entree. I had to get napkins myself as we were given the chips and salsa and no silverware and napkins. So first drop of salsa on the table was a mess

Wow, so disappointing, we love Mexican food but this was just awful, flavorless, and totally not worth the price. What is with the rice!?! Vegetables in Mexican rice?? We didn’t go to a Chinese restaurant! Are the taco shells store bought? They definitely didn’t seem freshly made. They give you enough lettuce that it makes it look like you have a lot of food and you don’t notice there’s not much meat. Pretty sure the bartender forgot the Tequila in the margarita too, it was like a super fruity slushie. Zero stars, do not recommend!

Don patron is a great family Mexican restaurant. The owner and staff make you feel welcomed. They will make you laugh and on top of that you come out with a full stomach. If you want good Mexican food in the Buffalo Metro area, this is the place to go. Definitely need to try the chorizo con queso dip its amazing. 10/10 would recommend anyone to come here. If you don’t wanna sit they offer take out also, so you can enjoy the delicious food at home!
