My first taste of this restaurant was a take out order. My wife and I love nachos and guacamole. We ordered just that and it was among the best we’ve ever had. Wonderful to have a local restaurant that’s this good. Planning a meal with a few other couples, and this will be where we go.

Don Patron is where Halfway Cafe was. The place is freshened up. The tortilla soup is a must. The entrees were great and generous. Large mugs of cold beer. Service was quick. Will return to try other dishes from a large selection.

Sometimes, the time between getting seated and the wait staff to arrive is quite lengthy. Our first visit took 7 minutes, the second visit took 5 minutes and our third visit took just 1, which was much improved, however we went during a more calm time. The salsa had a hair in it, so we stopped eating it.

First time I visited was right after they opened and things were a little bumpy. I’m glad that I went back because since everything has been perfect. The owner is always there checking to make sure things are going well. I’ve really enjoyed the Enchiladas Verdes and the Birria Tacos, both have been outstanding.

BEST Carne Asada I have ever had! They actually pay attention to temperature requests. Fast friendly service, amazing authentic food, clean cozy atmosphere. My New Mexican go to! Also drinks are AMAZING!
