First time trying Don Jose’s and will definitely be back. Food was delicious and staff very friendly. I had the #4 combo. – 2 shredded beef tacos. My husband had 1 beef taco, 1 fish taco and 1 shrimp taco. We also had chips and salsa. Everything was very good.

I ordered a cheese crisp lunch special . Got home they had put in a beef burrito , I picked it up and it was covered in beans. The beans always over flow the little compartment they put them in and everything I order is covered in beans . I’ve been going there over 10 years and they are getting sloppy . The food is average nothing special, I only go there because I’m not that picky but I do expect what I order and not to be covered in their beans. They are nice people but I’m not sure if I will be back , it’s a hassle and when I called and told Don he didn’t apologize , yes he did say come back and get another one but that is a real Hassle. Plus it would be covered in their beans . Everything I order my entree is covered in beans . I like beans ok but not on my entree. Probably won’t be back , if he would have said sorry for your inconvenience I would have considered it but their food is not good enough to have any issues .

Like walking into a dive restaurant in the 1990s. Didn’t hit it off with the owner at all. Also doesn’t offer black beans as an alternative to refried. still using styrofoam for to-go boxes – WTH, get with the 2020s here. enchiladas weren’t even visible in my combo meal – just a big pile of beans and goo. Not appetizing. For some, its probably fine, but you can do better at home or anywhere else, I think.
