Excellent old school Italian food in an interesting setting. Very industrial decor, but comfortable and homey at the same time. The tomato sauce is a primary criteria for any Italian restaurant, and Dominick’s does not disappoint. The sauce has a delicious homemade taste, with no trace of bitterness. Wonderful. The eggplant parmesan was done with both mozzarella and ricotta, which was delicious, and the meatballs were excellent as well. We’ll definitely go back again to try other dishes. Parking is in the back.

This place ranks low on my review rankings. Food, just decent. And if you have a large party (10 people or more), expect to be separated.

Great food. Hidden gem. Went with family. Reasonably priced. Decent portions. Great homemade bread. You can buy the bread to take home. The food was hot and good. We got salads, pizza, manicotti and shrimp scampi. Everything was good. Nice wine selection. The area was not the nicest and kinda hard to park but was a good meal. Will return.

First impression was that the building is pretty run down and in need of a renovation. But once my order arrived I forgot all about that because the kitchen is obviously still cranking out delicious food. So I guess today’s lesson is don’t judge a book by its cover.

Ooooh, this place is GOOD!! Food was excellent and we appreciate the decor inside. They also are kid-friendly with a vast kids menu.

The food is always so great. A must try if you haven’t already. My favorite dish is the Shrimp and mushroom Fettuccine Alfredo its so buttery and creamy. The house salad is so crisp and fresh. AND the fresh baked bread they give you to eat well you wait is SO delicious, Its so warm and soft. Give them a try. You won’t regret it!!

The food wasn’t bad but it was very basic. It was a decent enough meal to sustain us for the remaining 5 hours of our drive home.

The food and atmosphere are great, but we might not return. Service was slow, borderline abrasive, and generally cold. If I’m out enjoying dinner with the family, I want service that feels warm and inviting. I shouldn’t feel like a burden to my server. Busy our not a true server knows how to roll with the punches, keep up moral and engage with their customers.

This is a classic Italian spot in Oxnard. My brother in laws family has been coming for over 60 years, and this is my first time in many years. We started with some fresh bread out of the oven, which just melted in our mouths. Minestrone soup, Antipasto salad, fried zucchini and mozzarella sticks rounded out the appetizers. The main courses included eggplant parmesan (with a side of spaghetti), mushroom ravioli, and pepperoni and cheese pizzas. The pizza is one of the better in all of Oxnard/ Ventura. Topped off with a “slice ” of mud pie (note the perspective in size). Great service and atmosphere. I won’t wait long for our next visit.
