Great place for steak! Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Very causal, no need to dress up. My wife and I split a 2lb ribeye and it was everything that we wanted it to be. The drop biscuits are to die for! We love coming here for special occasions and randomly during the week! I love the fact they accept online reservations from Google.

Hands down THE BEST steak we’ve had in a long time. However I found that everything else (the hot tamales / chili and salad) were for lack of a better word. Bad. Our server was amazing though, very attentive and accommodating.

Pretentious dining in a shed. The salad was basic. The desert was supposed to be an eclair. It was definitely a bland, sorry excuse for a smore. The gulf has to be fresh water now because all the salt was on my steak. I mentioned to the waitress several times my $45 steak was too salty. She stated that regulars complained a week or so ago that their food wasn’t salty enough; and not everyone can be pleased. I regret tipping her $20. I also regret that I ate a good bit of the steak. I was up sweating all night. I asked for a glass, bottled, l sparkling water. I received soda water in a cup of ice. I asked if the steak was seasoned with sea salt, and she replied, “Yes.” Judging by my reaction overnight, that was untrue. Overall, it was a huge disappointment. I ate at this restaurant bc I read it had one of the best steaks..$120 later, and I am really upset about this experience!!!

The 3lb porterhouse was good, but it wasn’t $139 good. Texas Roadhouse has a more flavorful steak at a fraction of the cost. The shrimp were pretty good, but again, in South Louisiana, you’ve got to have an amazing recipe to beat out the competition. Taste of LA Cafe shrimp are much better. The staff and customer service were absolutely amazing. 5-stars for them!

The atmosphere was crowded, food was good steaks, except the steaks were not medium rare, potatoes and boiled shrimp penna. Chris was our waiter and did a wonderful job. But the food came too fast to the table.

We went for restaurant week. I got tomato basil soup, which I thought was too acidic for my taste. The ribeye steak was really good. I got it cooked medium, but will probably try medium rare next time. The mashed potatoes were delicious. The chocolate eclair was amazing. It was very fluffy and not too sweet. It was just the right amount of sweetness.

Fran was our server. She was absolutely top notch!!! Never waited for anything!! We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. I cannot find enough words to describe the flavor. It was perfectly seasoned, tenderized wonderfully. The garlic mashed taters were light and fluffy. The table next to us ordered the Ribeye…I will definitely have that next time!!!

It’s better than average, but not great. Service is very good, cocktails were good, steaks were good. The issue is that it once was a great steak place, but our last few trips weren’t up to its old standards.
