This was my first time ever having Dodah’s kitchen. The employee there was so amazing. He started out by asking me. What type of flavors do you enjoy and from that point he had me try different things and everything I tried was delicious. I am not vegan, nor do I plan on ever be coming but this place definitely gave me hope that if I ever do, I could do it. Besides that the cauliflower pictured here is so delicious, flavorful, crispy, and the kale is so garlicky and tart, but in the best way. I’m not sure if you can see in this picture, but I also got the ribs which honestly tasted just like ribs but a little better.!

I had been to this restaurant once before with good results but this time, it was not so good. I ordered kale, ribs, and chickpeas. Just a word of caution, the kale and chickpeas were entirely too sweet. I had to throw some of the food away. Many have become health conscious and are trying to get away from excessive sugar. I’m not sure which sweetener is used but, please stop. It’s disgusting. My body went through a shock from the first bite because of the sweetness.

I Simply googled restaurants near me in DC and this spot popped up. Didn’t know it was vegan until I notice All the wings were the same size . After playing 21 Questions with the young lady behind the register I finally decided on General Tso Chix (Cauliflower) and Kale Salad (served cold) it was MF’n delicious! You have to get the Meat (pause) expectation out of your mind. It’s a vegan alternative. Once I tasted it I was fully sold. I also had the Mint Lemonade . I’m ready to try the vegan desserts now!

My twin and I came here about 2 weeks ago to try the food. Now listen I’m in love with the cauliflower, The Greens, Mushrooms, potato salad needed a lil salt and pepper and relish, I enjoyed the wheat ribs. Loved the Black beans and rice, sweet potatoes Bomb. The Mac n cheese was cool. I will be back to try other selections. The young lady who helped myself and sister was so sweet to us. Thank you for a good experience.

I don’t know if Doodah’s is having an off day, if it was this specific location, or an overall off franchise all together. If there’s special recipes that are staple in assuring the quality of the food is nutritious and delicious, then whoever is cooking failed terribly in that department.(Mount Rainer) I stopped frequenting Doodah’s for this exact reason. Today, the food that I’d assumed you couldn’t mess up was way down in the dumps. The Cauliflower, which is a staple, was soggy beyond usual, besides always being too sweet. Does Doodah’s use MSG? Or High Fructose Corn Syrup? The sweet potatoes didn’t look to appealing, but without the taste test, I wrongly assumed and it was a disaster. (sweet potatoes-How??). I stopped eating black beans because of its lectins, but I said, ‘hey they’ve been decent in the past, I guess?’ Certain portions of the rice and black beans taste burnt for some odd reason. Everything taste like it had been reheated multiple times in a microwave. Doodah’s started out good/decent in my opinion. Now it’s arguably the worst “Vegan” spot in the DMV. Change my mind.

The Best Vegan Spot in Maryland!!! We drove 45 mins from DC and being my family and I are not from here. It’s been hard to find a good solid “Soul Food” vegan spot! Look no more, this is the place you want to eat. Y’all check the reviews on it and we’ll worth the drive. We had General TSO, Fish, Seafood Max, Greens, Regular Mac Cheese, Spicy Kale, Drum sticks, Corn Bread… you won’t be disappointed

Oh man! Where do I start! The gentleman behind the counter was pleasant and told me the portions here are generous and indeed they are. I would say don’t be the one driving too far if you are dining in eating here. You will get the itis lol. No but the food is really tasty and delicious! I had the seafood Mac and cheese, rice and beans, sweet potato and general T’sos Cauliflower. This was enough for 2 people. Definitely will be back!

My favorite vegan place in the DMV. I had great customer service & the best is the general Tso’s cauliflower. Definitely recommend to both vegans and non-vegans!
