This place is a gem. Love their barbecued baby back ribs. Fall of the bone, juicy delicious ribs. They also have reasonably priced Hershey’s ice cream, spice rubs for meat, sauces. People are very friendly and helpful. They made sure me and my kid were entertained while we were waiting for food. I have been going back every week since my first visit 🙂

Pulled pork would have been ok if it hadn’t been drenched in the nasty ketchup sauce that made it taste like the frozen stuff from Sam’s. Added some homemade sauce to make it edible.

I’m huge in to smoking and cooking on the grill! I’ve been all around the US and hitting up BBQjoints everywhere I go. I only got to try their brisket sandwich, but I’d say damn was it good! Not your Straight up Texas roadside brisket but I’d give it a 5/5 for texture, looks and taste! Not these other joints in Carlisle that give you freaking shredded dried beef for a brisket sandwich.

Got a brisket sandwich here the other day for lunch. It was almost inedible. It tasted like they cooked the brisket at too high of a temperature for way less time than they should have. This is very disappointing because I have had excellent brisket at their Whipple Dam location. Also, the chicken tasted like it was from one of those plastic containers you get in the grocery store. The bun was delicious though.

We ordered for for 300 guests. They forgot one of our orders which was for 50 people. We noticed after the delivery person left. I called them afterwards and they did not have any explanation for it. It ruined our party. The quality is just AVERAGE. the portobello mushroom was watery and like a soup. The spinach salad quality was below average. Chicken was OK.Overall, I do not recommend ordering from this place at all.

Uber! Bbq in state college hands down! Way better than any other bbq in the area by far. My go to for pulled pork! Also they have some amazing mac and cheese!!! Theres sometimes a wait if you just go in the store so I usually order ahead of time for pick up and it’s always ready and got just waiting for me. Great spot for late night eats on the weekend.

I was hoping for a brisket like what you could get at Dickey’s when they were open. But, we didn’t get that. The brisket was soaking in it’s juices and although it was tender, it wasn’t very flavorful. It looks like the food isn’t prepared at this location. And that might be the problem. I won’t try this location again.

Whippler was absolutely delicious and the gentleman behind the counter was quick for being the only person working. He was also super friendly. Definitely recommend Doan’s for something quick! Was surprised how large the sandwich actually was. Will come again!
