This is definitely a hungry man breakfast place. If you are going to be working hard till 12 or 1 get the 3 egg omelet with grits and biscuits and you will not be disappointed. Fast food atmosphere with a touch of at home describes Dixie Family Restaurant. Great prices and did I mention the home made pie, oh my! Two thumbs up for breakfast!

The collard greens had so much sugar in them I couldn’t even cover it up with salt. The peach cobbler, which I will normally eat no matter who makes it, was inedible. The country fried steak tasted like it had been microwaved and then covered with white gravy to try to hide it. The macaroni and cheese was actually good. The environment on the inside looks much better than the outside, which I was surprised at. It appeared clean. My dishes and silverware were clean, but I will not be going there again. The food was awful.

Looks like it’s out of business, but they’re alive and kicking. Lightly staffed, but the service is friendly. Clean, simple, casual dining room. I had breakfast, and everything was excellent. This is now my favorite breakfast spot in the area.
