Another place top in my list. Exceeded my expectations immensely! I never had jerk catfish but it did NOT disappoint. The rice was my favorite but that doesn’t mean the yams, mac&cheese, greens, cornbread, or chicken was anything less than delicious. I’m hoping I have some leftovers for dinner.

I called in my order. The lady was so nice and patient. I arrived and I was offered mimosas. The catfish dinner was so good the sides mac n cheese, candied yams, & dirty rice was all really good. I will definitely be back. The only comment I have is the atmosphere, the toys laying the floor.

I’m very disappointed because I heard so many good things about the restaurant. I really had a taste for plantains, so I ordered the jerk chicken dinner with plantains and mac & cheese as sides. I was given yams instead of plantains and I don’t like yams. If they didn’t have plantains, I should have been given the option to cancel or choose another side; other restaurants have called me to ask if I wanted something else if they ran out.

Ok so I normally don’t leave good reviews about restaurants I just become a returning customer. But baabbyy let me tell you about this gem I found when I was craving some jerk. I call about a week ago to place an order and Tiff the owner said they just ran out of macaroni and cheese, I’m like ok I’ll try another time. The past reviews made me keep them in mind cause that Mac looked delicious. I was hungover that day and decided to order from another spot on 79th I never tried and that food was horrible I wound up getting a refund. Fast forward to yesterday, I called to make sure they was open and had the mac n cheese she said they weren’t open yet, but within 30-45 mins. I waited to take my lunch at work, placed my order for the jerk chicken meal cause they didn’t have jerk fish ready on Uber eats and arrived to pick up. I asked when will the fish be ready she told me 30 mins because she takes ppl health seriously and no cross contamination at her establishment. I said cool I understand and appreciate that I would try it another time. I went back to work to clock out for the day and decided to go back for that fish and I’m so glad I did. It was nice portions of which she has lunch specials, seasoned well, not over cooked and the Mac n cheese was absolutely delicious. Could’ve used more gravy on the rice but I mixed them collards with the cabbage and omg hands down. I will be returning and ordering often for lunch. Thanks Tiff for my new Jerk spot, apologize for the long review but this was my A+ experience!!

Tiff? Tiff?? Tiff?! Sis!! (And family!) Come thru with this goodness! Yeeeesssss!! The food was so delicious! The jerk chicken, jerk catfish, yams, fried green tomatoes! And that Mac and Cheese?? Babay! Yeeeessss!now I’m Caribbean born and Chicago raised so I’ve never been a fan of Caribbean Mac and cheese but yours is a hit!! And the vibe in the restaurant is so dope! The decor and music selection gave me a whole downtown chic feel. Loved it. I wish you had space for a patio because I would be there for summer lunch dates with my girls for sure! My husband and I will definitely be back soon! Maybe today lol! Can’t wait for that fried plantain! Wishing y’all much success and blessings! ✌ ♥️✊
