You can’t always live life on the edge……but you can eat here!!! Excellent burger/rings and chipotle ranch sauce. Brenda’s heart for service and hospitality will have you leaving with a happy smile and stomach! I will return……

Food is uninspiring. My server was wearing a “thrasher” tee shirt. Which I can appreciate in general, but not when I’m paying premium prices for surf and turf. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. The view is ok, but frankly the view from my hotel room is just as good or better. The atmosphere is nothing special. Not worth your time.

Great atmosphere in small town. The food was good for the most part. Didn’t care for the bread, my halibut was a little dry and not much flavor. Others in our party enjoyed their steaks & Shrimp. Clam chowder was good. I feel it was a bit pricey for what we got.

Well the food was good but the service not so much. I never got a refill on any of my drinks. The wrong food was brought out the first time and we had to go and hunt the waiter down to pay our bill, watching servers slip and fall on their back next to the bar. That was interesting but this is probably some of the worst service that I’ve had in a long time. The food tasted good though when we finally got it.

We’ve eaten here twice over the last couple of weeks and have determined that it’s worth the price – at the more casual dish level… NOT the $35+ per dish level…. Though to be fair we didn’t try the high end dishes – but I would be concerned to try them. Our first visit I had a burger which tasted like a medium well to well cooked costco hamburger patty with average run of the meal (mill ) fries… Nothing special. My second visit the pretty blonde server kept trying to get me to order the most expensive thing on the menu and seemed a little bummed when we ordered normal stuff. I got the dungeonous crab and shrimp “sandwich” ($23!!). It sounded good but failed to meet muster. The bread was under roasted and soggy. And the shrimp were rubbery. The dish lacked depth. The bread needed to be butter fried on the grill and maybe a drizzle of Alfredo or garlic butter on top of the seafood. And DO NOT let fish EVER sit under the heat lamp. Expo food! It’s a small community so I understand and as I said the atmosphere is great so I will likely come again… BUT it’s on the verge of being 86’d from my options list. Next visit needs to impress.

I really don’t like leaving poor reviews. I do wish I had read some of the other reviews before going here. We were staying next door at the Best Western and decided to walk over. The scenery is nice on the patio. The one positive star would be that the bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers were good. The rest was not good. Poppers arrived and we had no forks… eating with hands… but they gave us no napkins and they are quite greasy. Ordered our meals (Sun Dried Tomato and Spinach stuffed Tortellini & Sirloin Steak Alfredo). Meals also come with dinner salad. My husband ordered his steak “medium”… it came way over done and hard and leathery. It was bad. My meal was almost flavorless. Glasses sat empty with no drink refills. Our salads NEVER CAME. Our waitress wanted to push higher dollar menu items. It seemed once we weren’t getting steaks or seafood, we were not worth her time. 2 hours spent there and we ate in less than 10 minutes. We asked for a check… 20 minutes later still no check. We had to go inside to try to hunt it down. We were shorted our salads, spent $84 on a dinner for 2 that was not good. I would never eat here again. Expensive, bland, bad service. And we paid for items not received. There are great places in town to eat that are less expensive, taste great and have wonderful service.

I will never eat here again. I do not support buisnesses with shady practices. There are too many inaccurate descriptions and prices online compared to what we ordered. Every time we searched anything about Orofino, this restaurant was mentioned as a must, constantly appeared. We called and made an order going by the menu on the website. Their website, not Google, not a picture someone posted, but from the menu on their official website. Picking up the order it was determined the prices for two meals were $13 and $11 more than listed on the restaurants website. Total of $24 more than expected. We would have ordered something else. The staff said they update the website but it keeps going back somehow. Hmmm??? The fish and chips $13 more was clearly listed as beer battered, however it was panko battered. Very disappointed. The food besides was good, the staff pleasant, but the management we were supporting in the small town is questionable. I will never eat here again.

1st time eating here & was definitely worth the drive from Lewiston. Beautiful views of the river. Our food and service was excellent. Definitely will be back.

Filet mignon was tuff and dry. The bearnaise sauce was not homemade, package mix or made with inferior ingredients. Also the prime rib was tasteless. Both meals were slightly warm not hot when served. First time eating at this restaurant, never again.

I debated whether or not to leave a review. I came home to visit family this last weekend and my Mom (who comes there often), my husband and myself came to eat Saturday night. We wanted to do something nice for her. We sat on the patio and were completely ignored by the waitress for 15 minutes. There was a large group who left the patio and went inside to dine leaving a few tables of people outside. The waitress (long red hair) seemed to almost go out of her way to ignore us. I wasn’t sure she was wait staff as she sat down at the table next to us to take their drink/food order. I’ve never seen that before. Finally my Mom went inside to ask for menus and some water. Finally Brenda came and was super apologizetic, brought us water and a menu. Saying she was so sorry that there was only one menu due to the large groups. She asked the red hair waitress what she should do with only one menu and I kid you not, red hair said “I don’t care, I’m just not dealing with them”. The menu situation wasn’t a big deal, there was a menu online. But the unprofessionalism and outright rude/hostile waitress almost caused us to leave. The other table actually had to go inside after waiting an excruciatingly long time in order to pay so they could leave. As did the other tables that red hair was waiting on. But….the food was really good. And Brenda saved the day! She is a gem. I’ve dined in many upscale restaurants and she rivaled many of the professional servers we have had. I cannot say enough nice things about her. She was attentive, polite and professional! I understand having a bad day. But to be hostile to guests is unacceptable. And honestly we were sitting patiently waiting. Nothing more. I’ve never been here before and I so respect the owners. But I dont know that I would ever come back. Hopefully red hair moves on to someone more suited to her personality. She definitely should not be in the service industry.
