I’m making an effort to try every single food place in the Reading Terminal Market during this year that I moved back in to the city (I know… despite me growing up in Philly, I never tried everything this market has to offer) I read the the BBQ Chicken at Dienner’s is something to try, and it did not disappoint. The entrance closest to this spot is on Arch, closest to 13th; as soon as you enter, you turn right and it’s right there. They have an assortment of wings/full chickens that you can buy by the pound, as well as 2 “meal options.” I had the Wings meal option, which is 1lbs of wings, a side of BBQ sauce, and a drink, which was reasonably priced. You can mix & match the wing flavors (not too many to choose from, which I think is good since you’re not overwhelmed), and I did their original Rotisserie and Parmesan (their Rotisserie glazed with a Parmesan sauce); I chose their hot BBQ sauce. The wings were perfect! The size was average to large, and the meat was super tender and came off the bone very easily . I definitely liked the Parmesan wings more than their original. The Hot BBQ sauce, though really not hot at all, was also delicious, and I definitely used all of it on the original sauce-less wings. Definitely a place to come back for!

These unassuming Wings are some of the best chicken I’ve tasted in a while. Went and grabbed a pound at lunch for 9 bucks and change and devoured them at my desk(hence the keyboard) highly recommended if in the Center City Philly area

I give this place 2 stars for the disrespect I received today. I’ve been going here for at least 10 to 15. I ordered 1 pound of rotisserie wings. This older gentleman with glasses helped me. He ended up giving me scraps of chicken wings like broke off wing tips. I seen him slide them in my order but I didn’t think anything of it until I got home and noticed what he did. He intentionally gave me broken bones to make my chicken weigh more. Wow, how grimey? It probably only have the business maybe 30 cents but it’s the principle. Why cheat faithful customers?

I love Dienners chicken and have been a loyal customer for years and years. I have been living outside of Philadelphia since 2007, but whenever I come home this is one of my first stops. My Aunt Joann and I would come to Reading Terminal as soon as I got to town. We would stop at Dienners and get a whole chicken for the house, she liked smoked wings and I liked the plain wings. That was our regular ritual. She recently passed away and coming to Reading Terminal will never be the same without her.

I visited this place last Tuesday for the 1st time in a long time, and boy is their customer service PURE TRASH!!! The customer before me wanted to pick her own wings, & the girl with the personality of a flea, answered ” look its just chicken.” The customer just smiled and moved along. My turn, I said hello, do you have any other chicken parts available for purchase, and her reply was “its not out, so that means no.” I said hmmmm and walked away she said “you waited on line for nothing?” She’s gonna catch the right person one day for sure!!!
