Moved to the area and found this gem a few months ago. My kids and I have been working our way through the menu and we’ve yet to be disappointed. Their selection of smoked meats is unmatched and is some of the most flavorful and moist cuts I’ve ever had. From chicken to ribs to brisket each is perfectly prepared. The smokiness doesn’t overpower the natural flavor of the meat and it is complimented by the barbecue sauce which I could not get enough of (sweeter not too much vinegar) Their gumbo is not traditional but rich in authentic flavor, appetizers are hard to put down (seriously I could not stop nibbling on the boudain balls & fried pickles). The salad bar is freshly stocked and their grilled chicken hit the spot when I wanted something a little lighter. Saturdays are my favorite because they always have a special of the day and I will go out of my way across town just to pick one up. You can tell they take pride in the product they turn out.

Met with a Jeep group there, and the service was great. I had the 2 meat plate with potato salad and baked beans. No bread offered, which would’ve been nice. I loved the plate until I saw the Chicken Fried Steak come out, I’ll be returning for that one guaranteed!

Always have loved this place. Been several years since I’ve came as I often travel more than I settle; quality and service have only gotten better. I enjoyed a chopped beef baked potato and a half a rack of ribs. (shared with my road dog Tanque ) Would recommend either to fulfill your hunger.

Friendly atmosphere and staff. Clean restrooms. Well stocked condiments bar and staff was attentive to it throughout my time there. Tables were bussed in a timely manner after each guest departed. And the food was great!!! I had the sliced beef sammich and a pop. I was able to put as much fresh onions, bbq sauce, pickles and jalapeños that I wanted !! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Sorry to say we did not enjoy the barbecue sauce at all. SMALL plate of brisket and sausage combo was warm but not hot. Pulled pork was good but without a barbecue sauce not so good. We brought it home to make sandwiches with. Barbecue beans, tater tots and mac cheese were good. I would recommend a lot more choices in barbecue sauce!!!!! We would not go back cuz of bad sauce.

Food was good. BBQ sauce needed more bite. It was a bit bland. Twice baked potatoes were awesome. Staff was very friendly and brought the plates to us even though they had given up a disc to notify us when it was ready. Restaurant was very clean and had not gotten crowded yet for lunch.

Very clean and friendly place. It’s a self seat place after you place your order. I had a 2 meat combo with ribs and brisket. The ribs were very good and the brisket was very dry. I tried to add sauce but it taste like a bland tomato sauce. I had to add A-1 steak sauce. The Cole slaw and Mac n cheese were pretty good
