Recently opened but a long-time favorite of mine, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit does not disappoint with it’s no nonsense menu, delicious meats and incredible sides. The owner and staff were working as fast as they could, but the demand for barbecue in Schaumburg created a line with about a 30 minute wait. Well-worth it for the food.

I love Dickey’s BBQ pit and when my family and I sat down to eat the customer service was phenomenal. This is one of their best locations and I wish there was one closer to where I live. The meat is not too fatty like other places and they don’t charge up the wazooo. I highly recommend this BBQ chain and especially this one.

For a franchise it was good. The brisket was tender and juicy. The sweet BBQ sauce was delicious. My fried okra was fresh. They offer like 6 different side item options. You can also bring your purchased Dickeys cup back for $1.00 refill.

Today, July 19, was a great day at Dickey’s. The pulled pork sandwich was fresh and tender. The bun was buttery and crisp and the sauce was smooth and tangy. The Mac cheese was creamy and cheesy. Delicious! The young man serving was phenomenal too!

We loved having dinner at this location! The staff was so friendly and helped answer my questions about the menu to find the best choices for my family. My 3 children LOVED the pulled pork sandwiches, fries, mac and cheese! I had the chicken sandwich and the meat was cooked just right. I enjoyed the sweet bbq sauce with the chicken and also pefect for dipping fries. Everything was so great! Can’t wait to go back.

Just opened yesterday so they need some time to get things right. Meat was cold but flavorful. Sides were warm. Sausage is really good also the Mac. Wife really liked the mash. Friendly staff. Takes a while to order & pay for the food while it gets cold waiting to pay. Seems backwards. You should order your Food at the cashier & pay, then prepare your food, instead of ordering and letting it get cold before you pay. The drink station is to close to the cashier. If someone is paying, you have to almost reach over them to fill your drink. Seating is tight. I have high hopes as I dine at Dickies in other states and love their food.

When I arrived, I thought I would have a great dine in experience. I was shocked to find out that the wait times were 60 minutes long with no line. When the food came out it was cold and had the consistency of raw meat. The service was horrible, one of the workers seemed like he was stoned or on crack. NEVER GO HERE

Update: Ate here again this past Wednesday 5/31 and have to lower my rating. I ordered online and the tracker never changed so I couldn’t tell when my order would be done. After 30 mins I went in to pick it up and was told then they were out of the sausage I ordered and would I like a different one. That was fine but for some reason just for that we waited at least 15 mins for our food to be done. Pointless to order online. Plus, they gave me 2 wrong meats and 1 side I didn’t order. The meat was not as good this time; was dry, not as tender and didn’t taste as fresh. Plus, I’m all for kids working but it was ALL kids working so I don’t know if that is what delayed my order and caused it to be wrong. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

The food was okay at best. Staff didn’t give our group any sort of eye contact let alone crack a smile while taking our order and was a little over aggressive when they asked me what kind of sauce I wanted. It is what it is I guess…
