Had DiCarlo’s Pizza for the 1st time last week. It was a different type of pizza, but really really good! Took my son with me today…the crust is nice and crispy! The sauce has amazing flavor! The way it’s baked and then after topped with fresh cheese….amazing!! Looks different, but once you try it..you’ll be hooked! New favorite pizza!!

I really like their pizza. It’s Ohio Valley style so it’s different than your regular midwest pizza. The crust is crunchy but not too thin. The sauce is hearty and robust without being sweet and the cheese goes on at the end. Like I said I really like their pizza and you should give it a try

Baller pizza joint. Love their thin sliced cheese or pepperoni pizza and the ability to sprinkle extra cheese. Top 3 choice for take out every time.

I’ve been doing here for a pretty long time, made good conversation with the owner several times and every time me and my family come here it is always a good experience, until tonight. I ordered ahead and got to the store to see the entire store being ran by what seemed like girl high school students at least that was who was at the store front. After not being able to find my name in their machine due ti whatever tech issues they seem to always be having, these girls informed me despite me ordering online for ahead pickup, it would be another 5-8 minutes because on “their” screen the time was double what it was on mine. Upon waiting I was given my pizza and got into the car only to discover it was the incorrect pizza. Per direct order, the ordering merchant they use, the pizza is cheese unless a pepperoni box it check marked. I did not check that box but can you guess what I got? When my family member went in ti correct this (due to me not having the energy being post surgery.) instead of a cheerful acceptance of their mistake and willingness to fix it, they were met with a “it didn’t say that.” and monumental attitude. Which is very uncommon for the type of people they usually hire. They did finally fix the issue after denying accountability for their mistake which is fine but this is enough for me to find a new local pizza place to shop at. While sitting waiting for them to fix their mistake several other people had to leave and come back because they also messed up their orders so I know it was not just me! Monumental inconvenience or minor inconvenience is irrelevant when it is my time and money being played with here. I expect so much better from these people, if this is the future of this store due to short staffing or whatever the case may be, I hate to say I see many people taking their business elsewhere.

Nestled right next to a Sunoco off of Main St. in Hilliard, this is a unique style of pizza for the area. Apparently it’s Ohio Valley/Steubenville style, which I’ve never had before. If I were to describe it, it’s like a thin/Sicilian hybrid – not thin, not super thick, but also not traditional. It seems like they use baking sheet pans with slightly higher edges to cook it or something.

Their pizza is one of a kind. The crust is homemade and the cheese is always fresh. But the best part of the pizza is the cold cheese on top. It makes you have to eat the pizza in the car before going home or getting a take and bake to try to recreate a similar scenario at home. This no frills pizza shop is a staple to my week!

BE AWARE: USE ONLY DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD…ON 4/22/2023 while visiting from out of town I decided to stop and try this establishment as I was in the mood for some pizza. I brought cash and the staff did NOT have enough cash in the till to make the correct change and simply told me that they did not have enough…so to have my order completed and receive my order I had to make the decision to leave the rest of my change behind as there was no other option…I was never told that this was a cashless establishment by the staff even though it has been reported that there is a sign on the door (of which I obviously did not see), nor was I asked if I could use a debit/credit card instead of cash but rather simple told that they could not provide me the correct change and there was no other option…not even an option to be paid back in coins. After this negative and frustrating experience I contacted DiCarlo’s and the franchisee asked me to reach out and when I did he only blamed this on me, citing that I did not see the “Cashless sign” and that they only take cash as a “courtesy” and took no responsibility for not having enough money in his till to make the appropriate change and again making it known that this was my responsibility and not his as the operator…only after I reached out to DiCarlo’s again did he offer to make it right but again felt the need to let them know that I am one of the few that complain out of the hundreds of customers that he serves weekly…just be aware that this is not somewhere you want to use cash or even frequent after this story…if you decide to discontinue your business with this establishment after reading this review, I would completely understand and again encourage you to approach this establishment with caution!

No frills pizza, crunchy but not thin, with cold mozzarella cheese sold in bags to add on top. A very unique and delicious experience. Definitely would recommend.
