Ordered the broccoli shrimp over rice and 3 piece wing with lemon pepper sides were mac n cheese and collard greens! Our food was good! I think the rice could have been cooked a little longer and my daughter found a lemon seed in her Mac n cheese so maybe they use lemon in the Mac n cheese? We also ordered lemonade so maybe it was fresh lemonade?! Which was good I was told.. I had a tea with pineapple flavor and it was good and cold.. I’d definitely like to try other things on the menu so we’ll be back! Oh yeah.. I waited about 30 mins for our plates but it’s fresh cooked food so it was understandable.

This is Cajun cooking done right. Not only were the food delicious, seasoned well, largely portion, and amazingly priced, the service was so warming and comforting. They 100% have my business forever!

Idk if I went there on a bad/off day but my experience is disappointing. Chicken was burnt/over crisped (tasted burnt too). Greens are good but the Mac and cheese isn’t as flavorful as I anticipated. Neither is the red beans and rice.

After reading reviews I decided to try this place. Based on the menu most the food listed is Louisiana. But the taste is not Louisiana this was the worst. The picture attached is their potato salad, taste nothing like potato salad a very easy dish to make. The greens is out the can, dirty rice was dry, Mac & cheese oily and dry, and the gumbo is not gumbo.

I’ve only been twice and ordered the fried chicken (white meat) meal with mac and cheese and yams/sweet potatoes. I loved it. Everything was flavorful, seasoned well. Mac and cheese was different than what I’m used to but it was still delicious and went well with my sweet potatoes. I’m glad I have a soul food/creole food place I can go to that is not too far from me. I prefer the bread pudding over the peach cobbler though. Cornbread muffins are just ok. Greens are good. Next time, I will try seafood dishes, maybe the shrimp and grits or a poboy.

Food was good. The oxtails were juicy and tender. Customer service is great. The wait time is ridiculous. Over an hour. The kale was bland and the collards weren’t great but the peach cobbler was delicious. The fried green tomatoes are everything! Crispy and juicy. Nice size portions. Black owned!

The only reason this is a 4 star rating is because my “turkey wings” meal mislead me to think there would be 2 wings. Aside from that minor miscommunication, my turkey wing dinner & my side of lemonade was DELICIOUS. It was hot, fresh, perfectly seasoned and a great portion. The cornbread was good but personally I prefer mine on the sweeter side. The girl at the counter was super sweet & someone from the back came out and pleasantly greeted me. I would ABSOLUTELY order again ( this was my first time ). The fried wings look delicious… I may try that text time. The Yams, turkey wing & rice were my favorite part of this meal! Oh and the lemonade was sweet and delicious! Thank you for saving me from cooking & doing dishes tonight Diaspora Kitchen ♥️

Maaaan. I JUST finished eating my food. Everything slapped bro. Mac n cheese was cheesy. Greens was FLAVORFUL AND SEASONED. The po boy was flavorful and we’ll layered.

I’ll start with I walked in to place an order and a 20min wait turned into a 50min wait. Not cool. The wings were fresh and hot (as they should’ve been) and seasoned well. They gave me a 4th wing for the wait i guess…. My sides were mac and cheese and collards. Mac and chz had a different creole taste as did the collards. But I didn’t like the creole seasoning on the collardshad. It tasted like the exact seasoning the mac and cheese had. Not bad but not good. I also crawfish etouffee that was tasty and a nice size serving. Didn’t like the cornbread muffin. It was too thick and caky.
