Glad we came here! The chicken fried steak was thick and not grizzly. The chicken fried chicken was moist with good flavor. Gravy was a good consistency and flavourful. Mashed potatoes were creamy. Fried okra was crispy and black eyed peas tasted good. Waitress checked on us frequently. Portions were large enough for leftovers. Everything was hot and salted enough.

While I was here it wasn’t busy. Early in the evening I came here for dinner. The seating was open, so I got a table up near the front of the restaurant. The waitress came to me quickly. The food came fast and was properly cooked and tasted very good. My only service complaint is that the waitress did not come to my table to check on me. I wanted dessert, but didn’t get one. I had to walk up to the cashier to pay.

Tha food was trash and I had to wait almost 5 minutes just to get them to take my payment. I had my order in my hand but they were so busy taking care of there regular costumes I feel like they didn’t care because I’m new I will never go here again. When I got home my food was cold while they where worried about everyone else but me.

This is a cozy little dinner. You don’t get a lot of food for the price. It doesn’t taste homemade, but it wasn’t bad. I got the build your own omelet with the potatoes. As you can see from the plate that was a nine dollar meal. So it definitely depends on you and what you like.

We happened to be in Alvin and needed a place to stop for lunch and picked this place real quick. We were not prepared for how good it was! This is country cooking done right. The breaded chicken was amazing crunchy and flavorful.

The service was top notch, the atmosphere was fine (quiet, nothing special about the decor), and the food was decent, filling and affordable. I had a pancake and bacon. The pancake was good and the bacon was okay, nothing to write home about although it might have been better if it was hot.
