Desert Diamond in Socorro, NM is a great family destination. Friendly and accommodating, great menu, awesome staff. I love the taco salad and my hubby likes the taco burgers. Also note Desert Diamond is open an hour later than other restaurants in Socorro. Worth a trip whether you are local or just passing by on highway 85.

Wonderful place. Food looked and tasted fresh. Don’t know what to get, ask your server. Listened to ours and got the rolled cheese enchilada plate with red sauce and it was delicious. Next time I will definitely add the egg too. Place was clean and staff was friendly. Prices reasonable. Definitely worth checking out. Looking forward to going back.

It had been a while since I’ve had a stuffed sopapilla, and this place did not disappoint! The flavors were awesome, and the green Chile was hot. The staff was awesome and kept our drinks topped off.

From the outside you may think this place isn’t worth stopping by. But when you walk in the door you will be amazed! This place absolutely shined inside! The bench style booths are beautiful! There are also tables with chairs. Our waitress was very attentive, and provided service with a smile. Our meals came out very quickly. The taste was as good as it looks! The price was very reasonable for a quality Mexican food restaurant. Their gift shop has some cute jewelry and coffee mugs and signs.

They were out of everything we wanted to order so all 4 of is had to change out order twice! I ended up with a red cheese enchilada. It was mediocre at best. And that’s being generous.

The food was delicious. We arrived in the evening and the restaurant was very busy which is a good sign. We were lucky to get a portion of a restaurant reserved for large parties all for ourselves, which was good for social distancing.

First off, the service was good. Our server was helpful, fast, efficient and she still managed to do a good job while managing multiple tables. The overall atmosphere of the place was just okay, but it was clean and did seem well maintained. However, the food wasn’t the best. For our appetizer, the guacamole was good but some of the chips were a bit off. The main dish was very greasy and tasted okay, but, overall it seemed expensive for what we got.
