A pretty cool spot for delicious and fairly-priced Indian food. My constructive comments after my first visit: 1-food could’ve been hotter (temperature) and 2-the music played during my visit is all wrong for the vibe of the space and the cuisine. The classic rock and pop songs were very distracting in a place that would be much better served with some lounge/club music or some type of Indian fusion sounds.

I am no expert in Indian food but food here taste great for me and my wife. Portion not huge but enough and have lots of meat not just sauce. Service was slow even with no one there at the time; can’t imagine how much longer if more people there. But everyone were very friendly.

Second time been there Food is pretty good. First time food was better then the second time. Not sure if the workers (cook)were different or not. Food is descent Not sure but just a opinion , if the cook in the back were natives the food might be better tasting just a opinion or recommendation after all it’s supposed to be and taste like INDIAN food . Atmosphere is good They did a better job with the second floor but a lot of steps if there’s someone hard of walking they will Be stuck at the first floor Chairs are a bit uncomfortable the tables are. Not flushed with each other Just little things noticed. The wait was too long. Many people were walking in and lining up like at a store in line for the cashier the kiosks were all taken so a line there also

Ever since The Kati Roll Company opened next to my apartment on McDougal Street in the west village NYC I have had my ear to the ground for similar experiences. I saw ‘Deep Indian Kitchen’ being built next to the Deep Foods headquarters in Union NJ and have been waiting for this location to open FOREVER!

Pros :- One of the best place where you can get authentic Indian food with both option vegetarian or non vegetarian. Just opened third restaurant in union NJ. Deep food is very popular and famous ready preserve food manufacturing company since so many years. They are very pioneer in authentic and delicious street food just warm up and ready to eat. I love their yougut lassi and some very delicious munchkins.. We tried today paneer Tikka, chana masala, paneer kathi roll with mango lassi. Highly recommend this restaurant. You can get plenty of parking spots and it’s free. Cons:- they charge extra for coriander /Mint / tamarind Chutney which is main source or part of Indian spicy street food.

To me food is not fresh. Even though it was not crowded it took a while to be self served.

The best part is that your food is prepared individually..which causes the challenge – excessive wait times. Uses kiosks for ordering (somewhat temperamental), especially when it says that a Lassi is not available and you can see it! I expect service will improve in the future.

This is not Indian food. It’s frozen and reheated food. Mr Deep should know that you don’t add peas on Lamb biryani. This is disrespectful to Indian food. I left half of my food on the plate. Do yourself a favor drive a little further and find some good Indian food in Edison or Jersey city.

Everything was wonderful! The food, the upstairs/downstairs seating, and the service! One of the managers went checking on customers and their food. Very nice of him, he also requested any suggestions. Before we left, we spoke with I believe another friendly manager. Let her know it was delicious, wasn’t expensive like we were thinking and some Indian music would be nice to tie it all together. She mentioned they plan to bring in cocktails which is exciting. The portion size of the “Feast” option was on the smaller side. I would have loved to have more as it was so good! Overall, my husband and I will definitely be back!
