I came here twice in 2 months and both times, the food and service were great. Since it’s crawfish season right now, we got crawfish with the garlic butter seasoning and it was great. The crawfish was flavorful (5/5). We also got papaya salad which was good, a little too much fish sauce for me (4/5). The chicken fried rice and pork skewers were really good as well (5/5 for both). Overall, I had a good time both times and will definitely continue to come back. The pricing for each dish is also very reasonable.

My friend took me here once so I had to go back as I was passing through. I had the Grilled Boar both times. She also ordered the calamari. Both were really good. I was impressed. I recommend here if you are passing through I-35.

1st time here and for a seafood restaurant they wasn’t really any smell of cooking seafood or any food. But I tried cooked oysters and they were bad and my friend had raw oysters. But the place was clean and the staff was soooo nice and friendly. Someone always came by to clear empty dishes. I would go back if in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Wow!! So, so good!! If you want great seafood with a twist, this is the place! We tried several things, the salt and pepper special with calamari….holy smokes…simply amazing! The gulf coast cocktail, was so good and amazing!! For our entrees we got the drunken sailor and the fried rice with shrimp. Let me tell you none of what we ordered disappointed! This place is the real deal!! The service was also phenomenal, our waitress was very helpful with deciding which entrees to try and she was attentive to our table! I already can’t wait to go back!!! This place is a must try….you won’t regret it!!

The ‘deckhand’ style oysters were great, nice size. Love their salt and pepper calamari but we got with shrimp this time which was great, love this dish, they’re breading is always flavorful and light. The addition of onion, jalapeno and cilantro with the slaw is super tasty! Kids shrimp and Fry basket was plenty and reasonably priced. The mussels dish with rice had a ton of flavor, kind of like a kicked up super spicy ramen broth. My only complaint was the service, our waitress was incredibly slow and took forever to bring the things that we asked for and did not check on us unfortunately but I’ve been a fan of deckhand so far and am super pleased they have the new location right near the old!
