Stayed at the Hilton next door and wanted to grab some food for take out. The shrimp tacos were outstanding. The wings were perfectly crispy and the pretzel was yummy! I will definitely be back when in town 🙂

Just recently discovered this wonderful little Tap House and restaurant… they have a unique system of pouring your own drafts.

Huge selection of different styles of craft beer, amazing food (the brisket fries are great!) And a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of TVs with different sports on. Highly recommended!

Good food and beer. You get a card linked to you and you pour your own beer. One downside we ran into was that we’d get foamy beer and couldn’t really pour off the excess foam without being charged. Overall, great food and service. There was music bingo in the evening.

Great Place if you’re a beer lover. The food was decent and the staff was really nice. They have a neat concept of having a large wall of beer taps, where you can pour your own beer. (You do pay for the privilege to pour your own beer. $$ ) It shows on a little screen right above the tap how much the beer costs per .oz and a little description of the beer. One main reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of how my experience was first walking into the taproom. I walked in, was promptly seated, and went to get my beer. I looked at the selection and decided on one – but how do I get it? I noticed there was a little plastic panel above the tap, which looked like something you would hold your credit card up to. I looked around and found a waitress and asked how I could get beer. Looking slightly annoyed, she stated, “You don’t have a card? You need a card to get beer.” This was the first time I was at Decent People Taproom and was not made aware by my waitress, nor the individual who sat me that I needed to get a card to get beer. Evidently I had to go up to a desk towards the front of the restaurant, hand the individual behind that desk my credit card, and then they would issue me a ‘beer card’ that I could use to place in the swipe holders, above each tap. Just some constructive criticism: Have something up in writing explaining the process, have the hostess or waitress ask if it’s your first time there – and if so, explain the method of the card system and how to go about it. It’s a neat system, but if you don’t know how to use it you end up feeling silly walking around looking for help. Overall great place and I will go back again. Some kinks just need to be worked out.

Beer is decent. Interesting system where you get a card, walk up to your choice of beer tap, pour your own, and they charge you at the end. Food was OK. Appeared to be an expensive evening; two beers and a burger for $45. Might have been overcharged but didn’t want to hold up my group.

I really enjoy this place. Not so big that you get lost in service. The bar has excellent options that you don’t get other places. The food hasn’t disappointed me yet. You get the beer card to pour your own with many to choose from. I appreciate the cider selections. Check them out.

This restaurant has ebbed and flowed over the years. Food uniqueness and distinction has disappeared and has become somewhat of a “what you would expect at a bar” menu. The food tastes good, but when they first opened, they went beyond hitting the mark with outstanding culinary creations. They had surpassed neighborhood expectations and delivered a much needed, casual dining spot. It’s still a great place to hang out at, but I feel like some of the original vibe has been lost.
