Incredible flavors and creative specials. Nothing is skimped here! Very reasonable prices for more than you can eat. Pictured are the pistachio cream French toast and the pulled pork Benny mess with “tumbleweed onions”!

Poached eggs cooked more than I like personally. The corned beef hash was like out of a can & fried in a lot of oil so it was like eating salty, ‘crispy brownie brittle’. Not my kind of taste. Sorry but I didn’t find this restaurant special enough to drive the distance back to in the future…

Breakfast is MY meal, I love to find a new spot. Established in 2015, but this was my first time here. Deb herself served us and I felt like that’s probably the norm. The food and service were great, came around to fill my coffee, make sure we had all our breakfast condiments, and even offered to ring me out at the table because I had come in just me and my baby (customers usually pay at the counter). A stone throw from Middletown and a truly great find!

Fantastic menu, cooks and place!!! You’ll always get great service and a full belly at Debs. It is very quaint and comfy inside with plenty of seating or you can dine outside . The specials change daily and it’s easy to park .

Nice little breakfast place in Higganum. Cute, rustic, clean with an atmosphere of the local breakfast/lunch place. Working owner is friendly and nice food is really good and the specials truly are special. I’ll be back again (and again and again )

Wow! This place is a must go to! If you are anywhere in the area. This is one of the best breakfast places you will probably find in all of connecticut! The food is outstanding! The service is excellent! I have been there twice so far and have gotten excellent meals both times. I do look forward to going there again and bringing friends there. It seems like the consistency of the deliciousness at Deb’s restaurant is something that you can count on. Take a ride through Durham to higganum or on the other side coming from the shoreline to higganum follow the directions on Google and put your route options onto avoid freeways. You will find this cute down home restaurant tucked away in the beautiful higganum countryside. You will find a comfortable clean atmosphere friendly staff plenty of parking outside seating counter seating nice music piped in and lots of people sitting around enjoying their breakfast! For sure this is the local hotspot for those who like to go out to breakfast. I have to tell you that the country fried steak is the absolute best country fried steak I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many. The biscuits are also very good! They have quite a variety on the menu so there is something for everyone! And you will have to make sure you say hi to the owner, Deb, because she is the hardest worker there and will give you the time to learn your name and greet you with a friendly smile! Honestly this is the closest thing to the South that you will find in Connecticut! I can’t wait to try their grits. Below is the mail that I split; country fried steak with sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and a biscuit.
