I wanted to have a great food experience as I’ve heard great things about this place. I’m sorry to say that I didn’t. We arrived and was instantly greeted for seating, Once we ordered it did take near 40 minutes to get our food. It was only 2 of us. We didn’t order much. I will say the place is cute, and I love the outside seating situation. It definitely has that Lowcountry charm. Now the food on the other hand, I can only speak of what we ate. We had the Shrimp and Grits and the crab cake. Let’s start with the Shrimp and grits, the gravy has no flavor, and the shrimp was tough as if it were pond raised. The Crab Cakes has a lot of crab meat but nothing else. The Remoulade sauce was normal nothing that stood out. Raised here in Charleston the expectation was for it to be better than it was. I did like the way it was served. It was more of a small brunch serving perfectly priced but just not tasty. We didn’t order any drinks so I have no input to add but the menu for drinks looked appealing. Hey try it and see for yourself. I’ll be waiting to read your reviews on drinks.

Super cute place. The service is great and the food was even better. I highly recommend this place and an added feature is that it’s black owned. It’s nestled right in the center area of beautiful Summerville, South Carolina

This is the place. Wonderful atmosphere, drinks, food and southern hospitality at a very affordable price. Beyond welcoming with dogs on the patio. Highly recommend the charcuterie board!

What a precious venue and great menu! Tucked right behind South Main Street and across from Hutchinson Square, Day Drink fits the landscape just perfectly with its bright white and yellow exterior.

This place popped up as new to try in the area and it definitely didn’t let down. The drinks are strong, tasty, and well priced. Love, love, love the atmosphere and decor. It was not busy during our stay and the staff was very attentive and friendly. This is a great place to relax and just drink the day away. The food was very delicious and flavored well. The vanilla waffles and shrimp and grits were very good and the highlight for us. The only downside I have to say is the portion sizes of the food compared to the price. $12 for avocado toast when it was very skinny and small. Other places charge less and you get more or get full slices with avocado. It was nice and tasty, but It’s not a place to come if your really hungry. More of a snack with drinks, but overall we will definitely be back. A must try for the food and stay for the drinks place.

It was a girl’s outing for bunch on this beautiful Sunday morning! Our first time dining here! What a lovely experience we had! The food was delicious but the drinks were even better. We will be returning for sure. However, the next time we’ll plan to be there to enjoy the smooth jazz music played by their very own Gerald “DJ Rod”.

Adorable atmosphere and a perfect place for cocktails with the girls! Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because while the “small plates” were tasty, they were a bit pricey in my opinion. I know ingredients are expensive these days unfortunately – but I would have been willing to try more food menu items at a different price point.. the prices of cocktails reflect the going rate around town so I was fine with that – plus, the mimosa was probably the best I’ve had around town!

Cute spot with good food if you’re looking for small dishes. There is only one bathroom, (which locks behind itself occasionally). Other than that, no complaints. Will try them again, maybe on a less busy day.

Day drink is a relaxing with a twist of fun atmosphere. Crab cake was a party in my mouth, and the shrimp and grits were a A ++.
