The new management has clearly made a great improvement! Went in on a whim and we were super happy with everything. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. The food was sooo good!! We ordered a pulled pork sandwich, the mac and cheese, and the hogwild fries. Everything was amazing but my favorite were definitely the hogwild fries! Definitely going back 🙂

I got the tri tip and tots. Their food is absolutely delicious and I recommend. I look forward to going back and trying the pull pork and the ribs. That barbecue sauce is to die for.

We ordered the meal for two and felt it was a good value and a lot of food–2 meats, cornbread, 2 sides, 2 drinks, and 2 slices of pie! Everything was tasty. We especially enjoyed the cornbread, mac n cheese and fried pickle spears. I wasn’t overly impressed by the meat–it was well cooked and moist, but I was hoping for a more smoky, flavorful meat that we could add out own sauce to, rather than it coming pre-sauced. Maybe just my preference! The service was a little slow, but everyone was very friendly and helpful. We really hope to see this restaurant succeed! I think if the meat gets dialed in, it will be a hit. We will for sure be back to try some other things.

Food is delicious. First time eating here and met the new owners. The smoked ribs are the bomb. The sauces they have are amazing. The smoked chicken is a must try along with the mac and cheese with cornbread. Environment is clean, staff is very nice. Overall I would come here again.

Finally, fantastic BBQ in Davis, CA! The new owners have a proud pedigree of competition level BBQ mastery. Everything is made in-house, fresh ingredients, and prepared to perfection. Real BBQ can not be rushed or faked and the owners at Davis BBQ are bringing their expertise and A+ Game. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

I was very excited to see a new BBQ place in Davis. Good BBQ has been something that I have missed greatly since moving up here a year ago. I called in my order and it was ready at the time they told me, so there was no wait in pickup. The food was good. I had the brisket which has good flavor, the mac and cheese was decent though when I go back I want to try some of the other sides, and the cornbread was nice and moist. I recommend to check that you receive barbeque sauce before you leave if taking your meal to go, even though I was told it should have been with the order, I wouldn’t have had any if I didn’t ask for it.

The new owners have created a much more pleasant experience! Really personable, the food tastes so much better, and is far better priced! This place is going to make me fat and broke from eating so much since I work near by. It’s hard to find good bbq but, it’s right here for sure. I will be back!
