Wow. Ordered pick-up from Dave’s after having it highly recommended from a trustworthy source. A truly killer sandwich – one of those meals that you just don’t want to come to an end. It may be a chain, but the food is delicious! The chicken was amazing and I thought the pricing was fair. The line/wait was pretty crazy though (30 minutes to get our food!) so I’d recommend coming at non peak hours or ordering online for pick up. It says a lot that even though we waited 30 minutes for fast food, we still can’t wait to go back. The chicken was that good.

Been here a couple times and the food was great! I’ve ordered sliders and just the plain tenders and both were awesome. The workers were extremely friendly and helpful! I also ordered on the app for a bit faster service and it worked great, except they forgot my Dave’s sauce and I didn’t realize till I was home. Definitely will be back though because the service before was good and hoping to try the Mac and cheese and a milkshake soon.

My boyfriend and I have been waiting for this location to open for MONTHS! Today’s first try definitely did not disappoint. We decided to get an order of the medium tenders with fries, bread, and pickles and also an order of two hot sliders with the slaw, fries, and pickles. This was in an effort to distinguish between the medium/hot options for the chicken. The medium was precisely what one would think a medium spice level should be: it was not overly abrasive but had the lingering spice factor that is pleasant and makes you want to go for more. The hot was markedly a bit more in the spice department, but if you are the type of person that likes pushing the envelope a bit more than the typical spice level of most “spice lovers” this is the option for you! The breading was extra crispy and seasoned, the chicken was mouthwateringly juicy and toothsome, and the fries were coated in this delicious spice mix that made me keep going back for more. I used their special sauce to dip both the fries and the tenders and it was a nice cooling agent and deserved break from a little bit of the heat. The slaw on the slider gave a nice sweet/crunchy/freshness and I mean, who doesn’t love pickles for the same desired effect? Overall this place is AWESOME and we will be returning many times in the future. Other chicken places in Portsmouth and the Seacoast region? Watch out! There’s a new bird in town.

I got the Reaper sauced Tender Slider paired with a milkshake. I love hot/spicy foods. This didn’t disappoint from start to finish and I’m glad that I got the milkshake to help cool the heat of the sauce.

We absolutely loved Dave’s hot chicken! We got a couple of the #3’s. It is definitely more food than I was anticipating. The chicken is thick, juicy and they don’t skimp on the size. The flavor was on point.

We just enjoyed our 2nd trip to Dave’s Hot Chicken and yep ~ I am already looking forward to the next one. The chicken sliders are hot and delicious and the portions are generous. Love the kale coleslaw, pickles and Dave’s Hot Sauce that comes on the slider and of course I added cheese. Fries are crinkle cut and have been hot yummy both times. Kaylee took our order tonight and was very friendly and patient as we fumbled through making our final menu choices. The food at Dave’s Hot Chicken rocks and so does Kaylee!

We were in Portsmouth on a getaway weekend. This was the first place we tried because it was close to our hotel. The food was good and there was plenty of it. The prices were high especially on fountain drinks more then $3.50 is a little much.
