Wow, what a find. Went to Dave’s for breakfast with my wife. Lots of patriotic red white and blue decor. The service was quick and efficient. I ordered the house omelet with home fries. I like that they use fresh potatoes rather than the frozen cubes that other places just throw in the fryer and call home fries. The ball and chain ordered pancakes with soft cooked bacon which came out perfect. I enjoyed the large mugs they use for their coffee, less searching for the server for a refill. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. Can’t wait to go try lunch or another breakfast.

Good place to eat, but the health department is picking on them. They don’t mess with the chain restaurants. They only pick on small businesses.

I ate here for the first time yesterday. I was looking for a friendly, local place since my former breakfast place closed down. Dave’s Diner gave me the full package. The food was delicious, I felt very welcomed which is important for an introvert like me, and the price was quite reasonable. I have a new favorite breakfast place, and I will most likely be able to be found here every Sunday morning at some point.

When coming up to visit my grandmother, this is the daily breakfast place. The owners and staff love my daughter, as much as we love them. They treat you like family, and that’s the best kind of place to be. Food is AMAZING, totally recommend visiting atleast once, because that’s all you need to fall in love with the place.

The greasiest food I’ve had in years if you’re constipated I highly recommend..

I want to be factual as possible and keep sarcasm out of this. I see the great votes this place gets but I’m not sure how it’s getting great reviews. The people there are nice, waitress was pleasant and the food was “okay”. The problem there is the atmosphere. It’s probably the worst breakfast place I’ve been to in Largo, and I’ve been to most of them. The place feels unclean. There were a good number of flies hanging out in there. I felt like I had to consume my food quickly between hand waves to shoo the flies away from my plate. It makes me wonder how many times my food was “landed on” in the kitchen before the waitress brought it out to me. If you are the owner of this place, do yourself a favor and clean it up. Nobody wants to eat with flies flying around your head and plate. The tabasco was refrigerated which is completely unnecessary and absolutely disgusting on warm food. Please don’t refrigerate tabasco. Ketchup should also be room temperature in a restaurant provided it is being used up by your customers. Other than that, like I said, the food and service was okay but because of the problem with the flies and atmosphere in general, I won’t be back. This restaurant would benefit from a visit by Robert Irvine on Restaurant Impossible to clean it up.

This is my favorite place to get breakfast! The food is delicious (try the sausage gravy) and you can’t beat the prices. Service is always on point and they are always decorated according to the season. Dave’s is a hidden gem that deserves 5 stars

Don’t be put off by the exterior. This place is a gem. Tasty food, super friendly staff, great prices: pretty much everything you could want in a diner.

Old diner style restaurant, decades gone past vibes. Friendly staff and owner. The food was excellent. Will go back again for sure. No modern soulless place here, it is old fashioned and pleasant. With the best prices.
