All of the negative reviews confuse me. I moved to the area about 2 years ago. I’ve ordered Dave’s about 10 times. Never had a bad experience. My go to’s are the San Fran (because I like the slaw) and Crazy Dave (because it’s spicy). But I’ve tried many others; the original, sloppy, blt, etc. all very good. Also can never go wrong with a chip to go with the sandy. I’ve had plenty of bad experiences at local food shops, this ain’t one of em’

My sandwich was very small, probably half the size of those pictured. My girlfriend wanted hers with no cheese and that didn’t happen. The pickle didn’t seem to be pickled. The biggest issue was with the older bald man in the kitchen yelling at the younger female employee while we were waiting. It was extremely awkward. Bad all around experience. Also my first time so not great. I have to put one star to post this review. I would give 0 if possible

Spicy Dave has plenty of heat. Fresh ingredients drenched in cosmic sauce puts this sub above the competition.

I’ve only ever had good experiences when coming to Dave’s Cosmic Sub’s. This location (Lakewood) doesn’t sell French Fries but I’m not complaining. I came for a sandwich and that’s what I got! On too of that they have a few tasty Vegetarian options to choose from. This puts them ahead of Subway and other sub-sandwhich competition.

Excellent sandwich and staff. I pop in about once a week for lunch, and have finally settled on a favorite. The Hey Dave with extra meat and horseradish. Sandwich is always made timely and with love! Always delicious! Today I asked the tall skinny kid in back to recommend a sandwich for my daughter and he suggested the Turkey Dave and it did NOT disappoint!

Used to be my favorite place for a sub but it’s clear the sandwich makers are giving up. Now the food is just a sad reminder of good times past. Ingredients are still good but you probably get more food in federal prison

Is this location going out of business? They are nonresponsive by phone from 6pm till close @ what I assume is 730pm, that time is unclear though as the website lists the close time @ 9pm and Google has 730 listed. That point is sort of irrelevant because you can’t seem to place an order after from 6 on. I haven’t tried any times before 6 because work doesn’t end for me until 6. Not a good way to run a deli shop in a very competitive market .

Literally the WORST place to get Dave’s Cosmic Subs. I grew up eating from the original shop and I keep trying to give this location a chance just because of how much I love Dave’s. this location gets worse with each attempt. Call me crazy for trying them probably 25 times in the last 5 years. Everything from hair in the subs (multiple times) to completely dry “Sloppy Dave’s”. WHERE IS THE DAVE’S SUB SAUCE?!?! I am embarrassed for you Lakewood location, you don’t deserve to be named Dave’s Cosmic Subs.
