I use to eat at Davanni’s once a week way way back in the day. I remember it being simple and dependable. As I walked in it was like I never left 20 odd years ago. A taped sign to the door stating no beer past this point. Friendly counter help. Simple pizza and sandwhich menu. Kids, always kids and or families scurrying about yelling or crying but generally not to bad. I had a solo pizza which found my table about 10 mins after ordering. Hot and fresh on that little pizza pan with rack thing. It was good but 20 some years later I realized it’s not much differet than a frozen pizza crust wise. The sauce is ok. Cheese is good but just short of enough. The Canadian bacon was proportionally good. But halfway through the za and a birthday party balloon pop I realized Davanni’s is like a Chuck E Cheese without all the booger, snot and saliva games and the daycare gone wild feel. Davanni’s food seems to be set up for young and old pallets. Those pallets that don’t yet care and those that don’t care anymore. And in the big picture that’s ok because you know exactly what your getting when you walk in the door. Enjoy!

Got take out pizza from Burnsville store. At lunch time for supper, open box to reheat. Missing one of my toppings, call them and told them about it. They were going to give me half back on credit card. It is days now and have not seen it. Then at the end of conversation he asked me if I was a regular customer. That shouldn’t matter.

I’ve been ordering from this location in Burnsville for 20 years. I have never once complained and am an extremely above average tipper. The pizza I received this evening, after waiting over 45 minutes, was embarrassing. It is so burnt, I’m not sure how it was approved to leave the building. Unreal.

Had just left from ordering Togo. I had asked for a half turkey chipotle with mayo. The cashier said you want both sauces, I then said yes. My sandwich is so dry. There is no sauce on it at all. Very disappointed considering I’m 5 months pregnant and love this place.

We ordered pizza to be delivered. We asked for it to be cut squares. It came and was cut it was cut in such a hodge podge of shapes: triangles, strips, and a couple of squares and not cut all the way through. Most of the cheese and meat was off the crust.The crust was doughy.
