This is the first time I’ve been here I ordered the barbecue pork ribs, shrimp and rice it was # 29 I believe. Very nice presentation and the flavor was delicious I will definitely be back to eat there again.

Absolutely LOVE this restaurant. Hands down the best authentic Vietnamese food. The seating area/vibe might be more on the casual side, but the food is terrific! Portion sizes are great for the price! Highly recommend their rice combos. With so many options to choose from and with different combinations, there’s definitely a meal perfect for you. Must try their Pork chop, which melts in your mouth! I always drop by here when I’m in Sacramento and get orders to-go. They don’t skimp out on the portion sizes. Absolute deliciousness!

The broken rice plate with BBQ chicken and bbq shrimp was so good, but the one with the MEATBALL and bbq shrimp was even better! I enjoyed everything on the plate – it was even better than the com dia I had in Ho Chi Minh city (granted I only got to try one place there). I really enjoyed the egg omelette and fried shrimp roll – not something I find at many Vietnamese restaurants. The pho broth is also very very good.

This 4 stars is solely for the food, specially, the broken rice plate. For location, wish it could be at a better area. There are a few homeless people around the parking lot. For the restaurant interior, definitely needs some updates, however, don’t think that’s going to happen. I ordered the pho dac biet and that’s alright.

Wow. Superior beyond words. The broken rice will change how you eat food. This devine recipe is so crafted and an explosion of flavor with any main course you accompany it with. Their theory on food in terms of taste., quality, presentation, flavor and freshness is over the top. A feast for even the most well fed. Portions match the price. A taste beyond your wildest imagination. A taste pleaser in every way. Superior aesthetic on flavor, concept and master chef technique and skill. What a glorious place. Such a devine food experience!!!

I was born and raised in Saigon Vietnam, I know what the best broken rice plate tastes like. I believe Dat Thanh has the authentic Com Tam taste compared to places in Sacramento.
