Great food, including excellent sushi, unique and exceptional specialty rolls, and excellent non-sushi dishes, make Daruma my go-to place for sushi, and Japanese food in general. The atmosphere is also really cool: serene and stylish. The staff and service are always great too. LOVE Daruma!

Went for a date on Sunday after being recommended to go. Only 2 other tables were occupied but we waited 40 minutes for our food. A big table of 8 people was being served at rapid speed so not sure what was happening on our end. The servers were kind, but the amount of time that the food took to come out ruined our experience. We only ordered 2 special rolls and 2 classic (lobster meets shrimp, summery, Philly rolls). We also ordered the tuna spring rolls and I’m pretty sure the menu failed to mention that they are fried. It was burnt and the tuna looked odd. The sushi was very underwhelming. We were excited to give this place a try since it was recommended but we ended up really disappointed.

The sushi here is disgusting I wasted $25 on sushi and it was horrible . The rolls came all messed up and they didn’t have any flavor the shrimp tempura was undercooked and looked nasty as well as the spicy salmon roll never ordering from here again worst sushi place I’ve been so far , the staff is rude as well and the place doesn’t look very unsanitary.

Sushi and sashimi are always great, but Hibachi Ribeye steak my husband ordered was terrible. The each meat had nerves in it and not medium rare he ordered and hard to chew and overall taste was not so good. Don’t order this.

Some of the other reviewers don’t seem to know that Daruma, unlike almost every other restaurant in Englewood, has its own parking lot next door which makes them a particularly attractive choice when u don’t feel like spending any time parking your car. The service and excellent and the food is great and the restaurant has a great vibe. Recommended.

Lots of parking in the area and somewhat commercial. Most parking is metered. The restaurant itself is nice with a contemporary look and feel. Staff is nice. The menu is what you would expect from a Japanese restaurant in the US. The dishes are served beautifully. Sushi tasted great! I had a Godzilla roll and Philadelphia with an iced green tea and my wife had a Spider roll and Shrimp tempura roll with ginger ale (photos attached). We paid roughly $45, not including tip. I recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for fresh, beautiful and great tasting sushi.
