Welcome to the neighborhood Darkalino’s – you had some pretty big shoes to fill replacing our beloved London Plane and I’m happy to report that you’re off to a good start. In a neighborhood awash with mediocre Italian food you’re certainly a step above. Good pasta, nice salad and great focaccia. I miss the stop by any time and just hang out vibe that LP had for us and our dog certainly misses the daily treats but I’m glad to have a spot for solid food and look forward to seeing what’s next for you as you get a feel for pioneer square.

I dont leave many reviews but Darkalino’s deserves one. We had dinner on the patio on a Saturday night and vibe was on great. The food was as good as you’d expect from the creators of Mezzanote, Ciudad, etc.. While London Plane will be missed, I appreciate Darkalino’s for continuing to make great food in a great space.

Ate here for lunch. We had the bread, disco sauce, burrata, and cauliflower for appetizers. All were delicious except the cauliflower. We had a couple vegetarians so we double checked to ensure no meat or fish were in the appetizers. We were assured us it was vegetarian. Immediately upon tasting it we knew that wasn’t true so we asked again. The waiter checked and said it had anchovies. Aside from it not being vegetarian it just wasn’t very good.
