Found Daphne on a restaurant search in Google Maps by open and top rated. We were surprised that we were able to get a table but the staff was accommodating. We tried the Blue Cheese Chips as an appetizer. I ordered the Daphne shrimp and grits, it was delicious. My wife got the filet and a loaded potato, she gets her steak well done and it was perfect, some chefs have a tough time cooking a steak well done. The atmosphere was cool, I felt like I had walked through a portal and I was back in 1977. The waitress were all so attentive and nice. Hope we can go back some time soon.

If you are in the area and want a great meal this is your place. Typically in life you get what you pay for and this place is no exception. The service was perfect, the timing of the food also perfect. Even the decor was just right. I have never had fried pickles that I actually liked but this place totally turned that around for me. The shrimp and grits were the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had them in many places. There was really nothing I could point out as a negative.

If you want a fine dining experience the Daphne Lodge is your place. The She crab soup is a must! A lot of tempting dishes to choose from but of course I chose the Shrimp and grits. The tomato gravy adds a unique flavor to the dish. Staff was very helpful when ordering and made sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend. I look forward to trying something else when we come back.

Our friends have been talking about this place for years, and we’re just now trying it. I’m not sure what took us so long! This place makes me second guess most of my five-star ratings, because there needs to be some way to give this place the credit it deserves. Daphne’s truly is a five-star rating!

We had a wonderful meal. Started with the baked bacon oysters which were great. There were 4, for reference. The salad was fresh and our entrées, grouper and deviled crab, were wonderful. They serve a terrific garlic butter with crackers that would be much better with fresh bread, however.

We had a great time at Daphne. We had a group of 50 and they were more than accommodating. The food was great and everyone one was satisfied. This is a great place to eat with a hometown feel.

What a great experience. I travel for business and eat out four times a week at independent restaurants. This by far is at the top of the list such a great lodge style restaurant. you can just tell the other guests attend on a regular basis and staff have been there for a while. First time there but I already felt like family. Food was well cooked also I look forward to coming back

I went in and wanted to place a to go order. The nice girl up front went and got an older lady and she informed me that they do not take to go orders from 5:30 to 7:30. They don’t open until about 5:30. And I got there about 6:00. I only wanted place the order for me, one person, and they wouldn’t. So I drove around trying to find something else to eat and everywhere I went, they didn’t have what I wanted. So I eventually went back to Daphne Lodge and begged the lady to please let me order and I would sit out side and wait till whenever they could get my food. So she took my phone number and told me she would call me when it was ready. I sat outside and walked my dog for about 30 minutes. I finally got my food. It was good though.
