Very impressive. Just driving past on a whim I stopped for food quick and I was very impressed by the atmosphere, the bacon cheese burger was amazing. Lots of extra cheese and lots of bacon as they should be made. Fries are very crunchy.

My brother lives close by this eatery and dines here often. He treated me to dinner and I enjoyed my tuna hoagie and hamburger! The preparation and presentation are average but the food is made-to-order with fresh, local ingredients and it’s a family run restaurant so everyone is pleasant and friendly. The dining area and bathrooms are clean. Being located in PA Dutch country, there’s no shortage of high-calorie and fried foods, sodas, desserts, etc. Definitely a place to fill up but not a place for alternative diets or someone watching their calorie intake!

We ordered the pizza steak sandwich with onions and mushrooms. Delicious! The staff was friendly, warm and welcoming. Don’t drive by Dan’s Deli without stopping in. You don’t want to miss the good food and the nice folks who serve it.

So let me start off by saying that I’m much more critical than your average person. I genuinely believe that most people accept bland flavor as delicious anymore. I ordered a large cheesesteak sandwich with sauce, mushrooms, and onions. The first thing I noticed is that the mushrooms were a little crisp, almost like they were canned. The second thing I noticed was that the steak meat was not very flavorful without adding salt. The third thing I noticed was the lack of visible cheese mixed in with the meat/sauce. After adding salt, and putting about six pieces of cheese in the whole sandwich, and throwing it back in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes… it was delicious. I will say that the prices were reasonable. The only consolation I can honestly think of is that this is primarily a deli and not a steak shop. I think that if I want a hoagie of some kind I would try this place again.

Just stopped for the first time. What a friendly and family type atmosphere. Very refreshing. I got the “special” which was a small cheesesteak and FF. The small is NOT tiny at all. More than I expected, especially for the great price. The cheesesteak was AMAZING, like nothing I ever had before! This place is on my daily run as I drive past it many times. Will definitely be back and look forward to the next “special”. AWESOME PLACE!!

Awesome Cheesesteaks!!! They’re not only delicious, they’re packed full of steak. My wife and I have to share one. All their food is great. Just wish we didn’t live so far from them.

Great lunch/dinner spot! Try a sub! One of the best around!

this is a very good sandwich shop, and the people are so nice. you can count on them to listen to your order and make things right, especially if you emphasize what you expect. so many other places around here are so inconsistent that I stopped going to them all together.

We have been here many times. Overall the food is good. The staff is great. However, the steak sandwichs are hit or miss. It depends who makes them. Mr. Owner nails it. Mrs. Owner skimps on amount of meat in it. The ratio of meat to roll doesn’t work. Not enough meet for the roll. If we are hungry for steak sandwichs we now stop somewhere else.

Did this deli change ownership in the recent past? It used to be exceptional. Now it seems overpriced for the quantity of ingredients used.
