Was staying at the AmericInn across the street and wanted to find a sit down place to eat. Luckily the lady at the desk recommended this place. Staff was friendly and the buffet had a good variety. The only down side I’ll mention was along price. For 3 people it was about $70 with tip. While high for most buffets, I’d say the food made it worth it. The beef soup with dumplings was great. Actually all food offerings we tried were great esp. all the Danish items (meatballs, pork). The fried chicken was very tasty and one of the better ones I’ve had in awhile. It wasn’t greasy like the chain, fast food places. I had one of their pastries for dessert and decided to take one home. It wasn’t overly sweet which is what I like. The place was clean and had a homely feel to it. I can see why it would be popular with out of town people who have discovered this hidden gem off I-80. Dinner closes at 9pm even on a Saturday but that’s not a big deal. They weren’t rushing anyone out at closing time. They take the main credit cards as well which was a plus. I’d stop here again next time I’m traveling this way.

Fantastic Buffet. I know people who travel all the way from Omaha just to eat here. Best Crab and Prime Rib on the PLANET! Every thursday evening (and Saturday with the Prime Rib). Nice clean place. You should definitely stop by when you’re driving I80 on your way to Omaha or Des Moines during lunch or dinner (they are closed in the afternoon, and on Monday). It’s definitely worth the 7 mile drive north on exit 54. Sometimes in order to get a good thing it takes just a little more effort. Believe me, it’s worth it. This has been a Roving Reverend Review, so you know it must be true!
