The decor was very authentic and the customer service was okay. The food was very good the first time ordering, however the second time I went back with my cousin and the quality was not the same. Not sure they had a different cook that day, but there was a definite difference in the taste. Another big thing I didn’t not like was that they use pork for their Legume and Lalo but didn’t have it listed or mention it. My fault for not asking I guess, I just use to other places using beef.

I ordered a meal off DoorDash for pickup. I showed the woman at the counter my order and she kept asking if I was the delivery person or the person who ordered. I explained to her that the meal was for me, as I am the one who placed the order. Simple. As I was walking out with my meal the woman calls the owner and he request that I come back to the counter. He tells me

The food is decent and so does the place, but it’s very expensive…

I’ve been coming to Danie’s for 3 years. Absolutely love the food. However after the customer service declining over the past year. Calling my order in at 7:23 to receive an order that wasn’t my at 8:15 just isn’t okay. The older man was rude and distasteful. Danie is awesome but because of how he has treated me over my last few visits I won’t be returning.

Food good service not so good. I call they told me $20 for the meal, I got there they charge $35.00. It’s not the first time but after this time they lost my business along with all my friends & coworkers! It was 94° today and they had no air on, not even a fan for their customers!

I’m originally from New York so it was difficult to find a good Haitian restaurant. My friend told me about Danie restaurant, in which I travel from Piscataway to get there food. Food was great and customer service was very descent compared to other Haitian Restaurants I dealt with. We also catered food from Danie restaurant and let me tell you food was well prepared, tasty and delicious. This will be my place of choice from now on. Please Keep up the great work !!

Danie’s restaurant food cost more than other Haitian restaurant food in Irvington. So I went there on July 28. After I finish my meal, they gave me a bill and they had the nerve to include $5 tips in it without my consent. There was a guy who worked there took $5 tips from my $50 and he had the nerve to tell me that’s how restaurant charge customers nowadays. Don’t go there
