Extremely disappointed! Everything was bland and dry. The brisket was the fattiest portion I have every received from a BBQ joint. The service was great, but the food was terrible and even made me feel sick afterwards. While I have yet to find great BBQ in the Grand Rapids area, this was been my worst experience so far. Normally I will try a place multiple times before making a final verdict, but I cannot make myself go back to Dallas Deli.

This was my first visit to DD. I was disappointed that they were out brisket (a customer didn’t call, and bought all they had).

I came with a coupon for a free rib tip dinner with the purchase of another dinner. I ordered the pulled pork dinner and got Cole slaw and mac and cheese for my 2 sides. Very pleased with the portion sizes and the quality of the food. Very small restaurant, seats 10. Owners are friendly and will gladly chat with you. They also do catering for larger events. Highly recommend

One of my favorite BBQ places in the area! The sauces, the meats, and the sides are all top quality. When you order, it’s generally served in a to-go box, and everything tightly packed in to fit in as much food as possible. Prices are generally around the $15~ range for a meal with two meats, two sides, and a piece of corn bread. You get a lot of food for your dollar, and it will feed you for a meal and then some. Only problem I have with the place is that when it gets busy, the place becomes crowded very quickly. Don’t let the exterior fool you, it’s one of the best BBQ places in GR.

I was pretty disappointed with the pulled pork sandwich and chili I got a couple weeks ago. It was lunch time on a Saturday.

Great BBQ, thick cut brisket, meaty ribs, heavenly cornbread. authentic red beans & rice. Not a 5 star because cheesy potatoes need work, you could tell potatoes were genuine not boxed but the sauce tasted like boxed must be using cheese powder. Aside from the potatoes everything was great, three nice sauces on each table.

I eat BBQ everywhere I go and I can say this place is by far the best I have found in Grand Rapids area! Very nice small Mom and Pop operation and all meat is SMOKED not cooked in ovens. Hope there here for a long time.

So the first two times I visited this place I liked it. Mind you its a hole in the wall diner that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned or updated in the last 20 years. The service is friendly. On my third visit I was extremely sick after eating there and I haven’t been back. I need a new and clean BBQ joint.

It would really help if you told your customers the hours of operation. You know, because you are listed as being a lunch and dinner spot, but aren’t open everyday and seem to close at an I undisclosed time. I love the food, need some work in the sauces. This would be a 5 star review if I could actually get dinner from you.

First time and last time. Ordered $40 worth of pork and chicken, only to realize there’s no sauce with our order when I get home. Last thing I ask before I left? “Is there sauce in my bag”? Minor details I guess.
