This last week my boss sent me there to grab us lunch. Gave me a $50 and asked for a receipt. Went to drive through. (I’m a regular, live a few blocks away) Ordered, $21. Tried to hand cashier the $50 and she wouldn’t even touch it. “Sorry, we don’t accept large bills, we have been burned too many times.” I explained politely that was literally the only form of payment I had on my person. Food almost done being made. She told the crew to stop making the order. No Dairy Queen for me that day. (Will not be back ever again.) Went to McDonalds instead and had a great lunch!

Honestly, I am disappointed every time I visit this location. I naively gave them a chance when ordering an ice cream cake for a birthday — my husband had to wait over 35 minutes before they found it– making him late to the party. The average wait I have experienced the last few times I have gone through the drive-thru, with only one car in front of me, was 15 to 20 minutes. They often get my order wrong, causing me further disappointment. Today, I ordered a mini brownie chocolate supreme. I should have checked to make sure it was made correctly, but I felt bad for all the cars waiting behind me, so I drove off. The blizzard had no brownie pieces and only chunks of chipped chocolate. Please avoid this location and save yourself time, money, and disappointment.

Best description of our experience is “it was like watching toddlers run their own daycare”. We went in before closing to order two blizzards. The drive thru was 10 cars deep and a few customers inside. The drive thru was moving very very slowly. The 6 employees working made it evidently clear that they were lost and unorganized. They did not know what order was for who, what orders were done or not, and most of them were standing around looking confused.

The last review I just read from this place describes my experience perfectly “Toddlers running their own daycare” Not a single person in that building seemed competent enough to serve ice cream. I was asked to order three times after I actually ordered while waiting for my blizzard. The toddler that took my order just stood there telling the other todlers to make my order, the other todlers just flat out refused him. He finally made my oder himself. Not without playing with the spoon in the ice cream first!!! He made such a mess of it when he handed it to me I just refused it and walked out. Fire them all.

Read the latest two reviews on this DQ and I have to say we died laughing because it was SPOT ON. This Dairy Queen is in fact a daycare center with toddlers running it. And while it is incredibly entertaining to watch I do have to say to the Dairy Queen owner and franchise YOU ARE LOSING MONEY. Right when we walked in the “toddlers” were giving out free blizzards to what I have to assume was their friends. We ordered two blizzards and in the time it took to make them…. (Only after reminding someone of course) we got quite the show. Food was being tossed around, “toddlers” were eating in the back, the inside was insanely dirty and disorganized, and there was a whole line of people inside waiting around to get their order taken. After watching the circus, we went outside only to see a PILE OF CARS waiting in line. Clearly the owner or the DQ franchise does not care about this establishment because it seems like it has been receiving negative reviews for quite some time without anything being done. DQ save yourself and shut this one down.

I would leave a negative review, if possible. We ordered online for pick up. Order was to be ready at 815. We arrived to your store at 8:18 at which time your staff locked the doors and refused to provide us with our order. The drive thru line was extremely long. We waited in that for 15 min before abandoning that as kids needed to go to bed and as usual, it was moving about a car every 3-5 min. Your store closes as 8:30pm. This is unacceptable. Every time we give this location another shot, we leave disappointed. Whether it’s being blatantly ignored, listening to staff complain about “having to work” while we stand and wait to place an order (only ones inside – plenty of staff), receiving dipped cones that look like they were dipped in colored water, or watching our cup get wiped down with a rag that was just used to wipe the counter top.. I almost forgot about the time we received the wrong Blizzard, staff then realized their mistake after we passed it through the car and opened it, proceeded to ask for it back and then set it aside to give to the correct person behind us. Disgusting. This is just a couple examples of many. We will revert to driving across town to where we can actually expect (and receive) decent product and service.

We’ve tried to patronize this location several times this summer, each time has left us shaking our heads and wondering how this place stays open. Tonight was the deal breaker, we sat in the line for 15 minutes and not one car moved in the drive thru line. So we drove around to go inside, you couldn’t even get inside the lobby. We left and watched 6 other cars/people turn around and leave too. This location is one big disappointment.

Ordered a couple blizzards and they demolished the size orders. I have never received a blizzard without napkins and this was the time the ice cream was dripping out and melting as they were giving it to us. They had a ton of workers in there so you’d think QC would have been a little better.

This place is disgusting, I keep saying I’m never going back and I think I mean it this time. I was there last week and I wasn’t sure I was ever going to be able to leave because my shoes stuck to the floor so badly. If you look through the swinging doors in the kitchen, you’ll see absolute filth. It is worth the drive to Savage to go to that Dairy Queen.

2.5 stars for this DQ, but I’m feeling generous and I’ll round up. The food is generally decent, but bring your patience if you’re planning to eat here.
