Very much an old-school DQ, with all the modern food options. Walk-up windows and drive-thru only. There are those concrete round bench/tables with umbrellas that remind you of the 70s and 80s out back, and thats the seating. It is a throwback to the old days, and apparently the location has been there since those old days. If you want nostalgia for those days, hit this place up. Just don’t expect an air conditioned dining room sit down eating experience and you’ll be fine!

This Dairy Queen franchise consistently misses the mark, but on purpose, without even trying to hit the mark. I used to work at another Dairy Queen franchise here in Columbus for about 7 years, with breaks in between during leaving for college. I was a shift manager, I had keys to the store, I managed the money, I trained the employees and I did it for a long time. I’ve spoken with the owner of this fifth avenue franchise location and explained to him my experience as a DQ employee and how multiple times my order has been messed up and this last time I asked the employee if he could please correct the mistake. I understand food service sucks, believe me, but it’s also the job to make orders correctly and not get defensive and rude towards kind customers whose order has been messed up.

This DQ is hopping! We visited on Thursday during dinner time, and everyone had the same idea. We appreciated that the cashier/order taker was so pleasant and attentive to make sure she got the order correct. We ordered a cookie dough milk shake, brookie blizzard, chocolate milkshake, and strawberry milkshake. All of which were delicious. Kudos DQ for keeping up with that line!

Drive thru is fast and efficient. Workers friendly and courteous. Order was accurate. Location is old and dated. DOES NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE REWARDS PROGRAM! Really, get with the 21st Century. 1st and last visit to this location.

The WORST Dairy Queen experience I have had, what a rip off! I got a medium dipped cone, immediately I could see the ice cream on the cone was very minimal. I worked at Dairy Queen for 5 years, and this cone was not even 5oz ( a small) let alone 7oz. After being handed the cone I could feel it was very light. I bit into the bottom of the cone and my suspicion was verified. The ice cream was only at the top of the cone, there was no ice cream in the bottom. Ridiculous. Do better. First picture shows that the ice cream is only at the top, the second is how much cone didn’t have ice cream.
