This Dairy Queen is the best always doing your order the way you want it. If you want a special order they will take care of it. The staff is always friendly and polite to their customers.

Today I visited this location and was overheard by the staff speaking to another veteran. The girl on the cash register must have overheard my conversation and put a beautiful note in the bag that said thank you for your sacrifices may God bless and protect you. This is what gratitude and honor look like. I have to say I even teared up a little bit. We were both truly touched. Thank you for a wonderful experience and I sure wish I knew her name. Thank you all so much for remembering those who have served and sacrificed for our flag!

The food is usually fresh and good when I go around lunchtime. It can be very busy at times but that’s expected. I will say that if you choose to dine inside, after you place your order you might be waiting a while. Multiple times now I have placed my order and went to my table and they give you a table sign with a number so they can bring you your food. That’s a nice gesture so you don’t have to stand and wait but it’s also a problem for me. The last two times I visited the same thing happened. I ordered got my drink and number and went to my table. I then watched as my food was prepared and ready for them to bring it to me. Both times a family ordered behind me and had large orders, and both times my food sit there getting cold and me waiting an additional 10 minutes for their order to get ready as well. I would much rather them either have you wait by the counter for your food or if they are going to use this system bring the food when it’s ready. I asked the last time why it sit there ready for so long and the lady said she wanted to wait until the other order was ready so she didn’t have to come out in the dining room multiple times. If they were slammed and just couldn’t get to my food I would completely understand but that was not the case with the lady standing there talking to her coworker and being lazy not wanting to come out there multiple times. I would much rather stand and wait for my food rather than have to rely on someone to bring it to me that does not care about my time or my food getting cold.

So I am genuinely upset with Scottsville Ky Dairy Queen right now. Normally bother me. It’s whatever. But On Halloween they were offering free cones to kids trick or treating. I was inside there and seen a couple of kids come in who didn’t have costumes on. They refuse to give those children free ice cream cones because they did not have on costumes.. The mother tried to explain that it was for religious purposes that they didn’t dress in costumes. But for the sake of the children they were letting them go out and collect free candy so that could be a part of what was happening around them. Dairy Queen and Scottsville absolutely refused to give those children free ice cream cones. It was so incredibly sad. if I had been there and enough time before they walked out the door to offer to buy cones I would have. let me tell you when I say the disappointment that I feel for Dairy Queen and their workers right now is incredibly X level. I love Dairy Queen they usually have really great food my kids and I eat there at least twice a month but Not anymore not after watching those children face just kind of drop in sadness as other children were getting free cones but they weren’t allowed to have it.

Always try to stop by when I visit town as it offers good food and fast service. My recommendation is to visit here for breakfast. It is a home-style affair or a fast food delight. Either option is really great, and the gravy is so good I could probably drink it straight.
