Two words: slaw dog. This Dairy Queen is a Bluefield institution. I grew up eating hot dogs here as did everyone else in Bluefield since 1959. The bun is the same, the slaw is the same, the chili and the wiener – all the same. McDonald’s wishes they could be this consistent.

The counter was very sticky and disgusting. I witnessed the customers in front of me receive very slow service, and then the order was completely wrong. I waited while they fixed the order, and it took quite awhile to get a small blizzard.

So it’s a good Diary Queen as evidenced by long, long lines. Our group designated someone to order and the rest sat and waited for about 30 minutes. The ice cream was great.

I’m getting aggravated with this Dairy Queen, the last 3 times I have been there, I have had to wait in the drive thru line for at least 10 minutes or longer(being pulled forward to wait on my food), and the orders are not right. The need to do some serious employee training on how to work in a fast food place, and make the orders correctly
