I got together with friends here this past weekend and had a really nice experience. It was my first time at this restaurant, the staff were super accommodating to adding people to my reservation. Very friendly staff all around. Food was good. I got the Pittsburgh salad and it was delicious! The dressing was awesome and paired so well with the salad. It was a very large portion, I wasn’t able to finish it! And the price wasn’t too bad. The ladies room was so pretty too. I chose this spot because it’s not too far from the Genesee country village and museum so if you’re looking for a spot to eat before or after visiting GCVM I highly recommend this spot.

Check the website for the hours open for dining. The resturant is involved with community so certain days of the week the resturant is closed for catering and community events. A comfortable atmosphere with two model trains on the ceiling which work. Lots of good paraphernalia in which brings you back to the day of people gathering in the train station while waiting to ride the train. I highly reccomed the steak which is cooked on a charcoal grill in the kitchen.( the host shared this fact with us) I ordered the small steak which could be considered a large. Portions are generous. The entree came with a nice portion of brustle sprouts with a side of dipping butter. Delicious! Cooked how I like! A nice crunchy bite. My second side was the house salad. (I upgraded) fresh and a large sized house salad. The appetizer I chose was the small corn chowder. It reminded me of the chowder Grandma made! Nice warm rolls which melt in your mouth are included with entree. Our server was friendly prompt and shared some interesting information about the resturant. This resturant has history personality quaint has a diverse menu which includes healthy choices signature dish is the pot pie and is family owned. And prices are good! Nice to be able to dine out and afford to during inflation.Thank you D &R resturant! We look forward to dining with you again

So glad we went. Been meaning to go here for years. Heard so many good things about the food and especially the French Onion Soup which is one of my go to-s to rate a restaurant. Everything was fantastic and the onion soup was one of the best I’ve had.

Visited the restaurant today with friends and there’s so many delicious entrees it’s hard to decide we had the special crab cakes, meatloaf, and spaghetti with meatballs. Soup and salads were delicious and a basket of warm rolls of various flavors was superb.

Cute, small & cozy. The service was very nice. The dishes were unique and good. It is a converted railroad depot on a sparsely traveled rail line, so your meal is rarely interrupted by the roar of a passing train. We enjoyed the cozy meal.

First visit and fascinated by the history of the depot. Looks original and a nice feeling sitting there with a very welcoming staff. I had the Sunday special that included entree, appetizer and desert for $18.99 and my wife had the chicken pot pie for $10.99. I would recommend they add additional seasonings to the foods. Will be back when they have there Sunday turkey dinner special. Was a very nice relaxing dining experience that even included soft background music from the past.

Come here for the old world charm… and to be inspired by a 90 year old lady that runs this place.

At my son’s wedding, the service was great for the bride’s family. The grooms side was forgotten. When they were serving the ordourves, we didn’t get any. The bride’s family was greatly catered to.

Food was excellent. Place was clean including the bathroom. Servers very friendly. Should serve a little more of the starches. I only received half of the sweet potato and my husband’s mashed potato portion was skimpy. Overall nice experience. Always get good food when I patron this establishment.
