I had got the Oxtail plate (in the middle), Mother had got the Jerk Chicken Wings (on the right), & my husband had gotten the Curry Goat (on the left) The food was amazing for my 1st time going I would 100% recommend to thoes who want to experience a different taste in the area. My wife and I are new in the neighborhood and I was recommended here by a worker at a coffee shop to see her friend’s business at D Chill Spot. They were out of an item I ordered but let me know and set us up with recommendations that were absolutely amazing! Pineapple ginger beer is a newfound love of mine. They also let my pasty self know how spicy the items I ordered might be – I decided to hold off for now while I get to know the place, and was set up with curry chicken, and I appreciated the heads up! It was AMAZING. Tender, juicy, with subtle spice that complimented the flavor. And the escovitch… oh lordy the escovitch, I don’t think I can do it justice with words. I’ll be back for more of that.

So my coworkers went earlier for lunch it smelled so delicious made me want to try it. I was very pleased with the timely manner I received my food. I like to separate my food so as u see I put meat to the top of my plate . My rice was good and the cabbage. The portions are great however Im not big on Jamaica food so idk if my chicken was supposed to look like this or what but I don’t think I’ll try it again. It could have been seasonings but it just threw me completely off.

If I could give 20 stars, I would. The food…I can’t say enough about it. The taste, the flavor is just WOW. My wife and I ordered oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage, and it was just out of this world, it was All very good. The service was just as good as the food as well.

Checked this place out today and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious . I cook Jamaican food and I know good jerk chicken when I taste it. I will be coming back to Rocky Mount for another meeting and my co-workers and I will definitely make this our lunch spot.
