My husband and I celebrated my birthday here. I had the filet with scallops and lobster tail. It was to die for delicious! Service is excellent every time we go and I’ve always enjoyed sitting on the second floor, it has a very nice atmosphere. This is our go to place for special occasions. ❤️

I enjoyed my visit here so much! The food we had was delicious and prepared perfectly! We did appetizers for our meal, and the portions are very generous and very nicely priced (I actually think they’re not charging enough for the size and quality of the appetizers). The service was wonderful! Servers were so friendly! I’m looking forward to another dinner out here!

This place is intimate, the service is great, our waitress was the sweetest she was extremely attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. She gave great recommendations, the chef did not disappoint with the food by any means. If I could give 10 stars I would. We will be back.

I Ordered the porterhouse medium rare. It was quite a bit under and not very flavorful. I would not recommend it to anyone. I will try this restaurant one more time but if I can cook a better steak at home for a quarter of the price it will be the last time. The restaurant is beautiful and intimate. The staff was friendly and attentive. I have three starts and not two because my wife enjoyed her meal.

Food was delicious! We ordered the Tomahawk steak & seafood platter to share. Steak was perfect, lobster & scallops was perfect. The shrimp was ehh. We did have plenty leftovers to bring home. Recommend reservations. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful.

Good food. Very friendly wait staff. My waitress was phenomenal! However the manager was dishonest and made us feel unwelcome. Me and my mom were out at around 5 pm and decided we wanted a nice dinner so we chose this place since it was nearby. I walked in wearing a jogging suit and gym shoes (to ask if they had a dress code) and was told yes by a young lady who I assumed was the manager. I said fine I can go home and change and come back. Then I asked if there were any open reservations for the evening and was told no they are all booked. The place wasn’t even 1/2 full. So I left and checked on line and there were plenty of open reservation slots. So I reserved a table for 6:45 pm and went and changed and came back. As I approached the restaurant, I see people leaving who probably didn’t meet the so called dress code. In fact we were seated next to a guy dressed in gym shoes, shorts and a basketball jersey. I brought this to the manager’s attention and she gave a BS explanation. Now I don’t care how anybody was dressed, but I do care about being lied to by a manager of what’s supposed to be a top notch establishment. It appears as if this was her attempt to limit the number of people (who look like me) out of their restaurant. Even though the food was good, and the waitress was excellent, I probably won’t be back. Our bill came to $300 with tip and if I’m going to spend that kind of money I’ll take my business to Perry’s or some other steak house that appreciates all types of customers.

New location south of the smaller, more intimate spot, is very pleasant. The atmosphere is just right. The decor is pleasing to the eye. The menu and service remains at the top of my list here in Chicagoland. You can’t miss out on Cut 158 Chophouse. From wild boar chops to lobster tail or just a salad; every dish is top shelf. Head in and enjoy yourself. Book ahead and allow yourself a solid 90 to 180 minutes to relax and enjoy this great spot.

WOW, what an awesome experience, stayed at the casino in Joliet and found this chophouse 2 blocks away, awesome awesome awesome food 30 day aged filet awesome staff, Jose (pronounce the J) Sophia, Jordan, and super efficient wait staff. Definitely a 5 Star rating, Gibson’s in Chicago was good but I will have to say the steak I had here was better, 30 aged filet!!! The truffle cauliflower was not to my taste, but that was me and not 158. The oyster Rockefeller was a 4 out of 5 the bacon was too done almost chard tasting, but the well done cheese on top was delicious . I only live about 60 miles south and it’s not Chicago!!! So I WILL BE REVISITING!! Thank you Cut 158 staff 9-1/2 out of 10. Only because of the bacn

Went to dinner on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday. We typically go to Mortons for special occasions and that’s our standard so I’ll kind of be comparing it to that, as the price point and the menu are the same for the most part.
