I’ve been to Curry leaf many times for their buffet but today (Sunday) my Bengali wife (Kolkata ) and I ordered a la carte from their latest Sunday only Bengali menu (pics attached). Bengal cuisine is different to your typical North Indian chicken tikka and butter chicken dishes that are served over naan bread. It’s mostly riced based and unlike Indian cuisine, bengalis do excellent Beef based dishes too. Started with the Chana chur as an appetizer and followed that up with the Aloo Bhorta and Daal. Next we ordered 3 non veg dishes, the Tehari, chicken bhuna and Rui fry. The food tasted just as if it was made at home 5/5 for the taste. Service was excellent too. The only negative thing was the lack of air conditioning inside the restaurant in the middle of August on a very humid Sunday afternoon. Will be back to try their Bengali menu on Sundays, we highly recommend it.

I am so happy that curry leaf started their Bengali menu. I can’t get enough of the beef tehari and achari kichuri! Tastes like amazing hearty home cooked food. Staffs always pleasant and amazing. Beautiful inside to dine in as well.

10/10 some of the best food I’ve ever had . I walked in and instantly felt in a cozy environment service was a little on the slower side but there were tons of to go orders so to be expected . Food did not disappoint garlic naan is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted I love it man. Right down the road from Suffolk college in selden will definitely be here a ton thru the school year

So we went to curry leaf Selden, we saw the reviews and we thought it was good. when we walked in the waiter did not serve us any water until we asked him to give us some water. When we sat down the chairs were at the edge of falling. In the appetizer pav bhaji taste terrible, there’s no flavor of pav bhaji at all the only flavor was full of potato and little bit of red chili. And the samosa chaat was ok wasn’t that great. There wasn’t any red chutney instead they serve you white sauce that was very weird.

Fantastic local Indian food. Considering my favorite sushi spot used to be in the same location I had high expectations. Curry Leaf definitely delivers and is a great addition to the neighborhood. Big fan of the chicken tikka, palak paneer, and Manchurian. Looking forward to trying some traditional Bangladeshi dishes next time.

My review is based on take out .. first time i ordered after the new owner took over ( can’t thank god enough previous owners had no customer service skills, food was bland and were closed most of the item ) anyway I ordered biryani and dry chicken tikka . I loved the food . Customer service was also excellent. Overall very good experience. We locals should go and support these restaurants and hopefully nothing changes at this particular restaurant. 10/10
