Cubita Café started in a two car garage during quarantine, making homemade empanadas from scratch and best known for our everything bagel empanada. Since the garage our repertoire has grown, now serving our own custom coffee, cuban style sandwiches, homemade desserts and shakes. Where Hip-hop culture meets modern takes on Cuban staples. Breaking the boundaries of traditional Cuban cuisine while still highlighting Abuelita’s flavor profile.

I’m opening a new restaurant up the street and wanted to check out the rest of the block on an empty stomach. Walked by and saw these beautiful little empanadas in the window. Figured they would ease my hunger pains for the time being. Grabbed 3 and boy were these little guys deceiving. Hands down the best empanadas I ever had. The chicken was unbelievably juicy and the sauces were amazing ! I also got the chorizo and egg which was also good and a sweet guava and cheese to finish them off ! I will definitely be back to try the coffee and more empanadas of course !

I went in not knowing what to expect and I got to meet the owner and I could feel the passion he brings to his food before I even had one bite. He is a master at his craft and his use of flavor profiles and fresh ingredients is why his food is so good

The cortadito was great; they prepare an espresso pretty well. Cubita Cuban sandwich (pretty expensive at around 18 bucks) was tasty but not the best I’ve had. I would of preferred long sliced pickles as opposed to the sort of a relish I got, but maybe I should have gone with the more traditional Cuban on the menu. The other thing was the bread which should have a crunch produced by toasting with the hot plancha (press). The best thing was the everything bacon and egg empanada, not fried but a baked empanada. It was well made, nothing greasy which I might have expected when including real bacon. The egg inside is fluffy, great but i might suggest a soft boiled version or something to get a slightly runny yoke. I give the place a big like, def stop by!

The food & coffee is amazing. The empanadas are really good quality. Their breakfast empanada was also surprisingly delicious.. I’ve had breakfast empanadas before and they don’t compare!

Hits the spot for some Cuban classics! Started with the Cafe con leche for a wake up. Nice and strong for sure definitely provided some power. We tried the chicken and beef empanadas. Perfectly crispy and while I enjoyed trying both, if I could go back I would have gotten two beefs. Not because the chicken was bad, but because the beef was that good. Really captures that Cuban beef flavor you think about. We got two sandwiches, the Cuban and the Bistec. First off they are really big; I was impressed with the amount of actual meat in each sandwich. The Cuban was fantastic! Nice crispy bread and a good mesh between the ham and pork. The Bistec was also great! What I liked here was the the meat was tender and ripped apart with each bite well. If you asked me to rank them, I’d go Cuban for the win (to be expected). Another nice touch was the owner being there and being a really nice guy. Clearly cares about the brand and the product. Parking situation is okay because there’s a lot in the back (metered, but credit card friendly). Price wise it isn’t cheap for sure, but worth the price. Will for sure go again! Overall I give Cubita Cafe a 4.6 out of 5, a must visit!

For starters I really went to cubita because it was suggested on instagram on my feed and the menu looked very appetizing. The place itself is cute and very welcoming and Im a big fan of cuban sandwiches but sad to say i came out very Disappointed with the food☹️. My friend and I had ordered 2 cuban sandwiches and 2 shakes to go. One was a mango shake and the other mamey but gotta say the only thing we enjoyed was the mango shake because the mamey didn’t taste how it supposed to it had a weird taste nothing like mamey. My friend tried adding more sugar to it but it still wasn’t pleasant to drink. Regarding the sandwiches they were plain the meat was dry the only thing making it moist was the butter and the cheese. I was truly looking forward to it all tasting banging for what they were worth. Keep in mind that in just 4 things we paid around $50 almost a two person meal at a restaurant or less for it at a deli. If I am being honest my friend is entitled to get a refund at this point. We usually don’t ever do this or go out of our way asking this if what we paid was worthwhile. Im sorry but I was really hoping you guys met our expectations.

There are times I’ve eaten at this place and the food has been good. Today my experience was very disappointing! I ordered multiple empanadas. Empanadas were extremely BURNT.

Wow!!! The Jibarito (plantain sandwich) is DE-LI-CIOUS!!!! Nice small spot, nice decor, clean, hip-hop music not loud and nice staff. May your business continue to blossom. I will definitely return.
