We have been coming to Cubano’s for well over 10 years, almost every time we’re in town. Our whole family has informal reunions there at least 3 or 4 times a year. The staff is so welcoming and cordial. The ambience appealing. But the food? Well, that is superb and authentic. No matter what we try, it’s delicious and plentiful. The variety is excellent. The pricing is on par and not over the top. The desserts are scrumptious…the Flan is perfect! And their Mojotos are legendary. So, what are you waiting for? Once you go, you will want to return many times.

I don’t recommend this place. Today I have my girl stopped there to get some garlic shrimp and ropa vieja. To much oil on the food. Her didn’t eat at all and just test a bit of my. You can see it on the picture. Please get a better chef.

I came here this past Saturday, it was nice, good music playing, not too busy. Loved the service! The server was very attentive, but also not too intrusive. The mojito was made to perfection. I ordered “la ropa vieja” and it was fantastic. I love how everything complimented so well. The food came out at a good pace. We got the tres leches for dessert and it was amazing. Definitely will come back 🙂 it was also my first time coming.

Not really impressed with this place. Dined there for the first time last night expecting something special. My Cuban sandwich was served lukewarm & the server was unengaged (and the place was not busy). Worse yet was they overcharged me by $4 on the SMALL Mojito I ordered – should have been $6, but they charged me $10. Based on this experience, I won’t go back. There are better places in Silver Spring.

The only reason I’m giving 2 stars was because the server was attentive. My husband and I were on our regular weekend outings to try something new, what a disappointment, first the item we wanted that is on the online menu is no longer being served, so we chose the Vica frita. While we waited my husband ordered a mojito, it tasted like straight alcohol, also ordered a small and they gave a large. Not great for pure alcohol. Then the food came, they don’t give you an option for tostones vs maduros, just some odd tasting deep fried plaintain. The steak tasted like it had been sitting in grease. Anyway very disappointing and a bit pricey…we will return back to our go to Cuban restaurant in Burtonsville.

I stopped by Cubanos the other day for a quick lunch with a dear old friend. It had been ten years, but their classic Cuban sandwich con papas fritas satisfied me the same way it did all those years ago. Delectable, juicy, and packed with flavor. The service was amazing and extremely accommodating.

Wow! Super friendly staff, and amazing food. My friends ran into a relative in Budapest (Frederico) who told them they must go, and I had the privilege of accompanying them. The drinks were great (and strong!) and the Paella, steak and gambas (shrimp) were all fantastic.
