Went by about 45 minutes before they closed to get one of their take-n-bake pizzas. The woman working whom I believe was the owner informed me that their food delivery hadn’t been made when it was supposed to so they might not have what I want, I appreciated that explanation. I asked if they could still make their “pie in the sky” pizza. They said only a small size one. That was fine for my wife and I, I thought. When she brought it out it looked waayy bigger than I thought it would and looked amazing. We chatted for a little while and she told me that she was struggling to find help for a long time now and that she works long shifts 6 days a week to try and keep up. She also told me that her prices that she is charged for her goods has been changing so drastically and so rapidly that she has been struggling to keep up with changing the prices on the ordering board menu. She said it is best to just ask the prices first because it has been so nearly impossible to get help that she doesn’t know when she will be able to keep up with it all. I hope she finds more workers that value her because he seems like she is trying very hard to make this little food joint the best she can. I hope that her small mountain town business doesn’t fall victim to the impatient, rude, and non-understanding reviews and entitled opinions of what make up a lot of the 285 corridor passerbys that come through on their weekends from the City and are only traveling through these mountain towns that they don’t understand. I’ll end this review by saying that this take-n-bake pizza was one of the most delicious pizza’s I have had in a very long time. And I will be a more frequent customer for a long time to come.

No prices on the menu but delicious food. Cool little spot right off the road. Also love the stickers everywhere.

Ordered a double BBQ bacon burger and another regular double meat with bacon plain and dry. I also ordered a ranch with it. Pulled off and noticed the second burger had everything on it. I also didn’t have my ranch. Went back around and got the burger fixed and asked for my missing ranch. She said she is going to have to charge for it. Definitely won’t be coming back.

Update July 2023: My original 5 star review still stands.

Love Cruz-In for a quick meal. Diner-style food via a drive-thru, Cruz-In features well-portioned breakfast burritos, classic diner burgers and take-n-bake pizzas that make this unassuming little trailer worth the stop. Also, a plus for some, the fries are cooked with the onion rings, giving them a nice flavor! And any soulful human can eat at Cruz-In without guilt knowing that your dollars support a small business and the local community, not some pink-slime-patty dealing, soulless Corporate American behemoth. Thanks for delivering great fast food for the 285 corridor so we don’t have to hassle with going into town.

Food was really really bad. Maybe I just got the wrong things, but my beans and cheese burrito was just a floppy tortilla filled with a bean sauce.. nothing else. And my veggie burrito only had eggs in it. Good, nice service though

I have been eating here for a decade and never had an experience as poor as this one. Even compared to other occasions where Cruz In was unexpected closed. Tonight’s employees were rude and stuck up. I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner’s don’t care to do anything about reviews like this either if they trust people like that to operate their business. I Showed up at 6:50 on 3/16 both open signs were on. No answer at the menu for 2 minutes so I drove up to the window to try to order and was told by a young lady that they closed early because it was slow. Which just sounds like “ we’re lazy and wan to go home early” I went back to the window and suggested that they turn off their open signs and a different young lady rolled her eyes and said “yeah we’re getting to it” then flipped me off. Good luck in life with that attitude girls.

Love the fries! Food is perfect for a mountain drive -through. We have been stopping here for years. Burgers and fries are our top choice and an order travels pretty well considering we live 15 minutes away. I keep meaning to see if the breakfast burritos are as good as they used to be but the timing hasn’t worked out.

My husband and I came here on vacation and ordered two burritos, when we got to the window to pay we were told the total was $29. Because the menu prices were not clearly visible, we just assumed that we must be about to receive some giant $15/each burritos. We did not. We were handed FIVE burritos. On top of that the burritos themselves are very average. In summary: Cruz-in is meh.

Good for fast food although slightly overpriced. They’ve needed a new intercom for a while now and the drive thru has some big divots. If you dont have time to stop elsewhere this is a good quick bite.
