Crown Fried is a whole different vibe than your standard fried chicken joints ala KFC or Popeyes. No, its not the best food you have ever had. But for the PRICE it is extremely hard to beat. The gigantic menu is a huge plus.

I placed an order to pickup at this small chicken place because I wanted fried chicken. When I went to pick it up, they hadn’t even acknowledged there was an order, requiring me to wait longer. I got a box of fried chicken and two buns. The chicken was alright but far from what good fried chicken tastes like.

Where do I begin…I’m in town for a wedding and wanted some fried chicken and found this restaurant on Uber eats. I had a choice between this one and Popeyes so I chose crown because it was a local restaurant. This choice was a huge mistake…the rice and beans had a total of 5 beans, a weird weird flavor and was overcooked (didn’t even finish it). The chicken wasn’t breaded well so it didn’t have a good crunch, no seasoning or herbs just s and it was dry. To make matters worst they gave me two old dry dinner rolls that crumbled in my hands when I tried to split them in half. I didn’t think anyone could mess up fried chicken…boy was I suprised!.

Don’t order between 9pm-3a. There is an absolute rude young Indian that will serve Indians before you. And will not care for your order. I asked from a gyro on pita bread. Got a gyro in a bowl. And than tried to say I didn’t order Mac and cheeese even though it was on the recipe.

I love a nice styrofoam container of lamb and rice just like my favorite halal cart used to make. This version is what you’d expect and executed well. The fried chicken was also pretty good. Not as salty as Popeyes but I think that might be a good thing especially if you eat it a lot.

Food: Ordered a gyro and fries. The food was spicy and bland all at once. It was drowned in orange powder but somehow still tasted like freezer burned chicken. The fries were hard and tasted old. I took two bites and immediately had to throw it out. Don’t let the name of the establishment fool you.

I was impressed by the wide variety of menu options. I ordered for takeout and the food took fairly quick to come out. I wasn’t expecting much, however, I was impressed with how flavorful their gyro chicken is. I will be going here again in the future.
